The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner barely edges out The Longest Day for me!

The trio from AMOLAD is strong. The Legacy is my 2nd favourite song off that album and The Longest Day is 3rd. Still, they have a worthy opponent from somewhere (back) in time.

The very much underrated Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, with plenty of great guitar melody lines and great drum work from Nicko. However, I feel The Legacy is a bit more unique - it gets my vote.

The Legacy.

I hesitated between The Legacy and The Longest Day mainly. The Longest Day is a great song but the Janick epic convinced me after a listen. It's my second favourite of the album and more special and just a tad better.

Lightning Strikes Twice deserves and Lord of Light are pretty good as well. I'm not too fond of The Loneliness of the Long Distant Runner tho.

The Legacy is one of those songs I forget how good it is until I listen to it (like now). The instrumental section is really strong.

Why can't we treat our fellow man with more respect and I shake of the hands?

Interesting that the ones I have to choose from are all from the same album.  Lord of Light and The Legacy are so different, but awesome in their own ways; top material from both Janick and H.  I'd still have to go for The Legacy though, as it is slightly more consistent and ends the album excellently.
