this is the only video I found from the current BL tour. there seems to be no ordinary stage with a height or sth. like they are in our living house. really interesting!

Most bands are trying to get silent or near to silent back lines nowadays. The amps will be behind the curtains but I would imagine that they will be fairly smaller and miked up for the PA.
Steve uses a Tech 21 signature fly rig to get the tone of his EV speakers.
 
I was at one of the shows a few days ago and there was very little visible on-stage equipment, however in the front row it's safe to say it was one of the loudest gigs I've been to in quite some time. I think it was second only to Motorhead in the volume department.

That The Darkness interview raises more questions than it answers imo. That level of quarantining described is pretty aggressive. Not saying I disagree with it, but it is a little beyond “all we’re asking is for you to get tested every day.” I could see a fully vaccinated and even generally covid cautious person being adverse to those policies. Definitely a few steps beyond “we had to drop British Lion because Steve is an anti vaxxer.”

Just to clarify things, The Darkness never dropped British Lion; it was British Lion's decision to walk out of the tour.

I’ve definitely put on a few Covid 19’s myself, so I can’t blame the guy. :p
