I just happened to come across this news:

http://www.metal-rules.com/metalnews/2012/08/30/steve-harris-confirms-maiden-england-dvd-in-2013/

"In an interview with German magazine Rock Hard in August 2012, bassist Steve Harris confirmed that Maiden England will be re-released in 2013, with the concert footage expanded to comprise the show’s encores which were not included in the original VHS. In 2012, Iron Maiden undertook their Maiden England World Tour, which is largely based around the original video in setlist and stage design."

This is pretty awesome :D . Maybe it will go along with the Early Days and Live After Death DVDs. I can only imagine it will and maybe it will continue the history of Iron Maiden docs too.

This is good news. Does anyone think it will include footage from a North American show on this tour, or is that unlikely?

Hopefully it will have The History of Iron Maiden Part 3, going up to Adrian's departure. Then when they eventually release Live At Donington on DVD they can have Part 4 covering the 90s.

I honestly don't think they would have footage of the current Maiden England tour for the fact that if its suppose to be like the Early Days and Live After Death, they'll probably stick with the older footage of things but you never know.

I really hope they add a part 3 to the History of Iron Maiden. It would be really interesting to hear from Adrian himself about him leaving Maiden.

On a french forum of Maiden fans, I've read that Rod said that "12 Wasted Years" could be relesed with Maiden England.
In the same interview, Steve said that he has drawn the artwork for the British Lion album, that they will definitely release another one, under the name British Lion, 'cos he considers it as a band, and not a solo project.

I was thinking that about "12 Wasted Years". It would make the most sense pairing that with the Maiden England dvd much like "Behind the Iron Curtain" was paired with Live After Death.

Fantastic news, really looking forward to this and hopefully another good documentary about the band. I hope it does end after Seventh Son rather than try to cover events up to the reunion.

But actually most of stuff from '12 Wasted Years' has been already re-told in the 'Early Days' and 'Live After Death' documentaries (+ Classic Albums: TNotB ), so I wouldn't be pleased if it replaced something new. I'm looking forward to see History of Iron Maiden Part 3. With insight in 86-89 peroid. I also think that it would be bad if they tried to cover everything up to 2000s. The interviews would be less detailed. Unless they plan to release 5 hours long interview!

I'm curious if they are going to release Maiden England audio CD. It's interesting how the old stuff would sound prepared by Shirley.

You do have a point there and I didn't think about that. Kind of forgot that it covers much of what the first two docs have covered so I retract my statement about it making sense :P

As far as the History of Iron Maiden is concerned, I'd be content if they stopped it at a part 3. I mean, even if they kind of mention what happened in between the end of the 80's to the 2000's would be ok without going into huge detail about it.

If they ever do a part 4 and so on for history documentaries then they should be left for a point quite some time down the line.

Maybe they should just ignore the fact that Blaze was ever a part of Iron Maiden and just go right to when Bruce and Adrian came back! :p

(Kidding! Don't hurt me Blaze fans!)

Despite the fact that I hate Fear of the Dark, I'd love to hear about the recording of that album. Same with the Blaze albums but to a lesser extent. I might look forward to a 90's documentary more than anything.

A 90s documentary would be the most interesting, especially if they got Blaze to interview for it. Those are the albums whose creation I would be most interested in learning about. I wouldn't mind if they didn't do the reunion, but there should at least be History of Iron Maiden through the 90s. They could probably do the whole decade on one documentary, so Part 3 with Maiden England would be 86 through 89 or 90, Adrian's departure might be a good stopping point, and then Part 4 about the 90s with Live At Donington DVD.

Awesome, Maiden England was always my favorite Maiden live concert from the 80's. Can't wait to see it released (hopefully on bluray as well?)

Anyways, I also wish they'd release this 2012 tour as a concert possibly in the future, with how amazing it was. Since Steve Harris only confirmed the 1988 one, and mentioned nothing of this tour, I guess it might not be happening at all.

Excellent news, as a younger fan who only really got into Maiden in about 2007 I've definitely been appreciative of the history tours and subsequently the opportunity to experience songs live that I would never have otherwise been able to. I'll definitely be getting the DVD/Blu-Ray as soon as it comes out and I'm really looking forward to the 2013 World Tour.
