Steve Harris Confirms Maiden England DVD for 2013

Come to think of it, this may be true. I don't see any reason why they would want to keep the footage secret, if they had some.

I'd love to see pro-shot of that concert! Especially the Dave and Adrian solo segment (Walking On Glass right?). That would be awesome to see in better quality :D. Its almost surprising that they don't have that concert footage available.

Apart from some compilation albums, Death on the Road is for me Maiden's least interesting release.
At times, Bruce sounds like he needs an oxygen mask. He had a bad night.

Since this was released I've refrained from buying it as a lot of reviews said it was frustrating to watch because of fast moving camera angles and that the sound production was pretty ropey. Does it have any redeeming features that would make it worth saving from a bargain bin? I still have the CD in cellophane largely due to what I've read about the DVD. I can't usually get past LAD and RIR when I'm in the mood for live Maiden and now En Vivo is up there too.

Yea, the documentary makes the DVD worth it. Also, a the stage production for that tour was really cool, songs from the DoD album are performed well, particularly Paschendale and Journeyman. It's worth seeing at least once.

Like I said, Death on the Road is probably my favourite DVD release. I love the dark atmosphere and the stage production. The songs from Dance of Dance are absolutely amazing. Even Wildest Dreams sounds way better than the studio version. Lord of the Flies with Bruce on vocals should not be missed.
The camera changes angles a bit too fast, that's true, but once I got used to it, it doesn't bother me anymore. The documentary is great, very enjoyable.

The camera is a bit silly, but once I got used to it, it wasn't that annoying, at least for me. Definitely buy it for Paschendale live, and a few others like Journeyman. I have yet to see the documentary but I plan on watching it soon (DotR is a recent acquisition of mine). Also, I would say Lord of the Flies with Bruce on vocals is not a must-see. Blaze nails that song perfectly, and while Bruce doesn't do a terrible job, Blaze still puts him to shame on it. Most of TXF I can't really see Bruce doing as well as Blaze (of the other both have done, I think Blaze wins on Man on the Edge, and that both doing amazing jobs on Sign of the Cross, but Blaze's voice better fits the vibe. Though Rock In Rio version of the song is better, that's mostly due to the production on The X Factor not being up to par).

Just check out some clips of it on youtube so you can see for yourself.

My favourites are Early Days and Death on the Road. I overdosed on LAD and ME in the 80's and RIR is OK, but not as good as DOTR.

En Vivo has the most amazing cinematography of all live releases. I must admit I nearly cried when watching The Talisman, Dance of Death and When The Wild Wind Blows. However, the stage production for Death on the Road (like Mosh says) is very cool. Plus it offers you the chance to watch the three Dance of Death epics- No More Lies, Title Track and Paschendale - all of which include a solo from each of the Three Amigos.

Well, I listened to the audio at work today and I must say I was pretty impressed. Certainly enough to look for a cheap copy of the dvd. The theatrics look like the best since Seventh Son. I've never been able to force myself to like Can I Play With Madness though. Up there among Maiden's worst songs for me. Will definately check this out soon.
