All criticism is welcome on this forum, so long as it's not cruel. Saying that X band member sucks is cruel. Replying in a mean manner is cruel. For those of you who see the need to flame Janick, or to flame a Janick-flamer, I have the lovely option of increasing warn bars.
Now, I haven't seen the show, but I will admit that Janick's live soloing isn't up to Davey or H's level. Usually. But having said that, I love watching him play. I've seen a few concerts and bootlegs and the like from the pre-Janick era, and the only one where the band seems alive is Live at the Rainbow. Janick adds a lot of raw emotion and feeling to his playing, even if he doesn't hit every single key properly every single time.
If you want precise playing, go see Dream Theater.
As for the statement that from 1990-2000 Maiden only made one good CD? There's a rubbish statement. Some of Maiden's best stuff came from this era. Fear of the Dark, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Mother Russia (a classic favourite of mine), The Aftermath, Sign of the Cross, The Clansman...
Remember, encourage people to open their minds...don't just tell them to shut their traps.
