Prowler
Hello again

So Maiden are again on tour and they want to surprise everyone with material from the '00's to show the people how good it is (Im not being sarcastic, is really good  :D) and to show the new tune. Also they are tired of playing the 80's 'best of' plus FOTD in the last tour

Keeping that in mind, what songs would you choose to form a set list to please mostly overyone?

Here is my choice

1 TNOTB (classic 'obvious' song, familiar to everyone, apreciated by most, great start for the intro)

2 Montsegur (first surprise from the 00' era, never been played, deserves a shot and keeps the momentum)

3 Where Eagles Dare (Obscure classic, played for the last time in 2005 and prior that, the early 90's)

4 El Dorado (the fourth place is a great spot for the new one, the audience is already on heat)

5 Brighter Than a Thosand Suns (first big epic, from the 00's)

6 Phantom of the Opera (second obscure classic, dont think many would complaint  ;))

7 Nomad (another from the 00's never been played, not a sing a long song but deserves an airing)

8 The Trooper (from the 'obvious' list, a short one for a change)

9 Killers ( not a short one but it sonds like one! Obscure, classic and keeps the agression)

10 The Thin Line (another 00's track never been played, one of the best from BNW IMO)

11 For The Grater Good of God (More 00' epic and heavy)

12 Face in the Sand (more 00' material, they've already made their statement, Maiden 00's rules!)

13 Iron Maiden (somehow this one will be played even against their will!  :P)

Encores

14 The Clairvoyant (Classic, not really obvios or obscure, short and epic and it kicks ass)

15 Hallowed (keeping the epicness with a classic)

16 Purgatory! (last surprise, short and sweet )

17 Run to the Hills (Short obvious classic that should makes the audience leave pretty happy  ;))

There is one more song than in the current set list but there are shorter songs too, I suppose is 1h 30 min more or less, which is how long they play normaly

If they played that set live, I'd be very, very happy.

My version (not quite as 00s heavy, but trying to go obscure too).

1. The Wicker Man
2. 2 Minutes to Midnight
3. Infinite Dreams (would rock on 3 guitars)
4. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
5. Montsegur/The Fallen Angel (both are heavy, underappreciated, awesome rockers)
6. Stranger in a Strange Land
7. Sign of the Cross
8. The Mercenary
9. Fear of the Dark
10. Revelations
11. Phantom of the Opera
12. The Clansman
13. Mother Russia
14. Iron Maiden
---
15. Another Life/Twilight Zone (same effect)
16. The Prisoner
17. The Assassin
18. Run to the Hills

I tried to include at least one from each album. It has one too many epics in it I think, but I like it the way it is.

Good news, everyone!
Your fake setlists in this thread have to be spoilered.

Since you are constructing alternate setlists, that gives away what the real setlist is not - which to an intelligent observer, eventually may indicate what the real setlist is.

I was reading the Maiden Fans site and went to the 'Songs played live' page and it says there that The Prophecy and Only The Good Die Young were played live with the latter being played less often. This is completely wrong as far as I'm concerned.
