Song for the SBIT Hstory tour part 2 in the future

If not mistaken: never.

I checked with the tour setlists in Maverick's Commentary. You're right. If a song wasn't played on the promotion tour for the album it was on, it hasn't been played later either.

And Pilau; I would probably enjoy that set (would perhaps be better off without Satan and the nuclear bomb, but the rest is great)  :D

The topic on the commentary forum is a quicker reference. Perhaps you had forgotten about it. ;)

Okay everybody.  I renamed my post to avoid any confusion.  I was just wanting to know if they do another history tour.  Won't that hurt them because they are going to have to move into 2000 Maiden songs by at least 2012-2018 by that time.

I guess what I am saying how many times can they go back and do Reto/Classic Maiden tours to keep the fans appitite wet vs putting out new material and mixing that with 2000 maiden songs?

I've said this before (or something similar):  If they wanted to do a live cover of the Culture Club's albums, I'd pay to see it.

I think they proved on both AMOLAD and SBIT that they can make an album, play it in fully (or mostly), then do a 'go back' tour and not leave many empty seats.  Remember that with each year, there are 'new to Maiden' fans out there that have never heard them live.

I really hope so. Like breaking all of their habbits. Perhaps they'll make a giant one-timer hell of a show, like 5 hours straight of all their best songs with crazy pyrotechnics, the wackiest stage set ever with stunt doubles and everything, fireworks shooting, giant eddie-shaped blimps, a 5 times as large a set for Nicko, H playing three guitars simultaneously, Janick throws his guitar in the air and keeps playing it, an underwtaer drum solo, a flaming guitar solo by Davie, a flying man during Flight of Icarus, fighter-jets zooming over the crowd during Aces High, real nuclear bomb set off on 2 Minutes to Midnight, and the Devil summoned to sing along with Brucie on The Number of the Beast for the grand finale! Are you writing this? Are you?! We should start getting this running!

Epic. I'd like to see even one of those.

Can Maiden actually get away without playing classic Maiden songs such as Run to the Hills/2minutes to midnight/# of the beast/Aces high?

From the POV of most fans: yes, I think so.
Will they? No.

"Iron Maiden" is a given. "Hallowed" is too: it is always played. "The Number Of The Beast" is almost always played. And it seems "Run To The Hills" is back for good, at least on History tours.

Maiden won't want to play that small number of big hits. I'd also expect at least "The Trooper". I bet they won't stop there with the old songs, though.

But let's imagine they restrain themselves to the five I've already named. That leaves room for about 12 more songs.

Likely:
NPFTD: I'd say BYDTTS, since it's the most recently played song from that album.
FOTD: title track is obvious. Maybe ATSS and BQOBD.
I'm betting Bruce will resist Blaze songs, so just one from each album: "Lord Of The Flies" and "The Clansman".

So there's 6 more spots for old songs, or surprises. I'd bet on 4 old songs and 2 surprises.

 Brilliant! Especially the nuclear bomb part, hahaha! :D

Spots for Seventh Son of a Seventh Son or Somewhere Back in Time maybe? This is my guess. They have to give us more SSOASS in the next history tour, they really neglected it on SBIT.

I would love to hear bruce do more of Blaze's songs, cause I like the songs, but they need more oomph to them. I think Bruce could add that, and live could add that.
BYDTTS, Tailgunner, Fear of the Dark, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, The clansman, all sound like given's to me. I'm all for more SSOASS stuff. I also really enjoy No Prayer for The dying now, it's grown on me as an album.

But it'll be hard to top this last tour's collection, they even played fear of the dark. It's an amazing set of songs to pick from in that era.

I can't wait for a SBIT3!
Wicker Man, Paschendale, Dance of Death, For the Great good of God, These Colours Don't Run, Rainmaker... wow.  I loved that AMOLAD dominated the tour for that album, I hope the new album is toured the same way, especially if they are going to keep up with SBIT tours!

I guess this setlist could work.

Be Quick or be Dead
Can I play with Madness
Brave New World
Rainmaker
The Evil that men Do
Afraid to Shoot Strangers
Brighter than a Thousand Suns
Judas be my Guide(Yeah I know this is very unlikely)
The Clansman
Man on the Edge
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden

Encore:

2 Minutes to Midnight
Hallowed be thy Name

We can conclude that Iron Maiden and Hallowed Be Thy Name will be played no matter what, and that's fine, but I hope they can resist playing Run to the Hills, the Trooper and the Number of the Beast. They didn't play them during the first leg (I think) of the a Matter of Life and Death tour in '06, so they've proven that that CAN, but will they?

As for the 90's song, we can assume they will play Fear of the Dark, but I'm not so sure about the rest. I think Judas, be my Guide will work really good live!

They have never played a song on a later tour if it wasn't played on the album tour. So, no f'kin chance of Judas.

Your right, but I would never think they would play the whole AMOLAD album live either, so I guess there is a very small possibility.
Its such a underrated song, and should have been played live instead of Wasting love.
