News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

And that's where his pride and ego come to play and it wouldn't surprise me if that changed.
During bruce solo tour he changed the set list because he couldnt end with the book of thel, the tower and darkside of acuarius. And then he rotated the 3 of them playing 1 or 2 and putting navigate seas of sun . Its imposible to sing that songs on his mid 60s.
So i think its more the whole band. But in that case i think they are going or drop the song or moving it maybe after phantom? Its over played and we have good versions of that song

Aces isn`t great we all know that and if they replace it no problem. But i have not come out of any of the 2022 or 2025 gigs thinking anything apart from what a great show it was, Aces made no difference at all to that thought.

This place is obsessed with it and spend more time focusing on one difficult poorly sung song than all the great stuff that is in the current show and it does my head in . No doubt this years leg will be pulled to pieces for various reasons.

We`ll find out next weekend and i for one can`t wait for the 2026 gigs regardless of what they change.

Positive vibe rant over and enjoy this years shows everyone because it will be a boring 2027 by the look of it.

I never came thinking it was that bad in 2008 ,2017 or 2022. Bit this time the videos are horrendous. And when i saw bruce on his solo tour i did notice that he was detouning songs before singing the chorus because he couldnt go trhoght the high notes

Bruce didn't detune songs. He simply stopped playing Darkside Of Aquarious, because it's in the stratosphere.

AH is extra dumb since unless both Bruce and Steve were blatantly lying, they didn't even want to play it. So they should've just went "no" when Rod suggested it and ended the discussion there. Instead we got the stupidest timeline where it's the encore opener both because it's been done to death as the show opener and because it doesn't fit mid-set either.
Maybe Rod used some of his 80s convincing techniques...

"I ALREADY PAID FOR THAT BLOODY VIDEO. IT'S BLOODY GREAT AND WAS BLOODY EXPENSIVE. YOU ARE GOING TO PLAY ACES BLOODY HIGH"

*Bashes Steve and Bruce's heads into the meeting table*

The hill that I'll die on is that Aces High is simply not a song that can be sung well live. The studio version is nice, but there hasn't been a single live version, not in 84, not in 99, 2008, 2012, 2018, 2022 or 2025 that sounded good to me. The song simply doesn't work for me.

I showed the F666 version (one of the better official recordings) to a friend who was getting into metal but wasn't familiar with Maiden. They vibed with the instrumental, but looked at me as if I was a madmen once the vocals in the second part of the verses came on lol

I still think the Alex-Athens hint is stronger than the ID hint.
They didn't even ask Bruce about the setlist. He just said " keep an eye on the setlist as we start in Athens" . The reporters asked them about Knebworth in particular and Adrian didn't give anything away. No reason for Bruce to answer like that, if it's not a hint. I personally will be at the Athens show and honestly don't care about Alex, but it makes sense

I'm reading this as someone with English as a second language, but the linguistic nuance you are after is that he didn't say "... when we start in Athens" but "as we start in Athens", meaning the fact that we start in Athens, you should keep and eye on the setlist. Correct?

English is also my second language. "as" can have both meanings, I think. The way he said it seems to me that it's a hint.

Any performance of Aces High nowadays will never top it opening up the 2018/19 legs of Legacy of the Beast, with the spitfire prop on stage, both in terms of spectacle and performance quality. There are a lot of hits that could go in that slot that would still get a great crowd reaction and be easier for Bruce to perform, I hope they have reconsidered the setlist for this leg.

We're speculating on setlist, and some changes. I think they will change one or two songs to attract some more fans. Today I've checked seating maps of venues booked for 2026. Apart from some arenas, festivals, and stadiums, this "stadium tour" generally sells out way worse than the last ones. Booking stadiums in Melbourne, Sydney, second dates in Buenos Aires, Chile, Sao Paulo, Harrison were a big mistake - the sales are poor. Shows in Romania, Knebworth are really bad. For the band with that status, and 50 Anniversary, it's a shame. It looks like fans aren't interested that much in the celebration of the band's career. The band speaks so much about the documentary, which is a commercial flop, too. I've noticed that situation a few months ago, when some users bashed me and even insulted me, but now, when the tour is about to begin, we may really track the results, and now we can see who was right. So life goes on.

Native English speaker in the house yo. I hear it was this....

He was asked about surprises at Knebworth and I take his meaning to be "forget Knebworth, there's a surprise in the setlist and you'll find out in Athens."

That surprise could be Alex but considering his previous mention of Infinite Dreams, I reckon that is the change.

Aces high on the 2008-2009 tour beats legacy period easily.

Man, is tickets your only interest???

Everyone is talking about the music, what they think might be played or dropped, and you come back again with the same old ticket conversation as always.

Not the only one of course. We are talking about 2026 tour, including the ticket sales. A few months ago some users had a conversation about this topic, some of them argued. I just noticed what the things are in fact. That's all.

Okay, I remember the discussions about tickets. It’s interesting, a good topic of curiosity.

It’s just that right now everyone is talking about performances, setlists, surprises, MUSIC in general, and you always focus only on that subject.

Of course, I don’t know you, but from what I see in your posts, it doesn’t seem like you actually care about the music, you only seem to value ticket sales, while leaving the main thing aside.
