Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Knebworth's lineup is meh. This is the main factor IMO. They could do whatever, but if the lineup minus Maiden is meh, it'll sell poorly.

They needed to add 2 more bands of Alter Bridge size and public draw IMO.
Maybe they will add something (bands, artists).

Knebworth must be selling even worse than what we thought. Nothing has changed from before, they just name it "EddFest" hoping this will attract people. Also, there are several remarks about this being their last UK show until 2028.
Wow! And finally you've told that! Not me! Yes, it must be a total flop and (probably) even their management doesn't believe in the success of this event. They have rebranded a gig to "festival". Honestly, it's a very bad PR for the band with their status. It's not the only show scheduled for 2026 to sell well under expectations (I think about the whole tour, not only 22 shows in Europe). Definitely, their management expected something different, but finally, people decide to buy the ticket or not.

The organisation of Knebworth also seems disjointed as hell. You usually give out all of the information when you announce the gig. Constant addition of information and side attractions is a clear indicator of poor sales.

I'm well aware of why I only occasionally read this forum.
The opinion that something may have gone wrong or differently than planned is considered “insane” (great discussion style).
On the other hand, claiming that the members are on vacation and doing well is a reasonable and valid opinion (sure, we know that for a fact because we constantly follow them with cameras).

The truth is, we simply don't know without having an insider in Iron Maiden's management.
Everything may have gone according to plan, or something unforeseen may have happened. Neither is impossible based on what we know.

The best decision would be to cancel the event "due to logistical problems" and open a pop-up "Eddie Museum - Emporium" in London. They should be booked as Download headliner instead of Knebworth.

I agree, it seems to have been developed as they went rather than from inception. Three simple changes would have increased appeal:

-- Announcing the show as an 'Eddfest' right at the start
-- Making one or two set list changes and announcing this at the outset
-- Adding just one band with actual appeal for metal fans

Also, why oh why isn't Blaze invited to play the Friday for a solo material set???

Instead, they made the error of making it sound like the exact same London Stadium show just transplanted to a field....

"EDDFEST is going to be a truly exceptional weekend for each and every Maiden fan in attendance – an unforgettable chance to be part of a fully themed Festival experience, celebrating IRON MAIDEN’s spectacular fifty year career… and the last chance to see them in the UK until at least 2028."

All the handwringers and worrywarts can put their minds at ease now...

If I had the means I would be there in a heartbeat. But I have to agree the line up is meh but really don't care. I would go for the whole Maiden experience.

So that's the special art for the show Eddie festival (right to be called)? Nice nod to the SSOASS era, what a wild shape of the head. We'll have to wait for the tour art.

Cool event for the fans, but it could/should have other interesting stuff, surprises (setlist-wise, a NPFTD song) and band/s.

Fishing for more sales?

The logistics and organization around this tour is a bit odd, they're taking a break next year, prices are at their highest, Nicko isn't in the band (maybe that's a factor for some fans)... - but that's wow to say! So far, almost every Maiden tour has been a success and according to their plans, the high standards are the norm for them, but the times we live in are changing, the band has changed.

Yes, their tours were a success, but (as we see) many changes haven't been accepted by the fans, not only Nicko's departure.
