Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Maiden had around 73k when you count complimentary tickets.
A close friend to Andy Copping said there were more than 5k, so probably the real number was more in the 75k region. It was the show with more comps since Cardiff 2017 (which is why the boxscore for that show is so low)

Production tickets that were not sold, judging by what @BQOBD and I saw at the stadium. :P

In any case, the show was a massive success.
In 99,9% of the shows production tickets released prior to show day ends up being unsold.
They don't even show up in the boxscores (unless it's Sweden), because those tickets were booked already.

Are you saying the boxscore figure stating the show was sold out includes several thousand tickets that were production holds and were not even sold?

Who cares about some shows from the past? More interesting is the future of the band than an additional production holding tix.

I don't know about several thousands, since there were only 404 seats unsold on June 21st. Anyway, production tickets are not taken in account for official boxscores, whether they're sold or not. There are some promoters/countries which release the full numbers on their own (always happen with Ullevi, for example), but they're always higher than the regular boxscores since those include comps and everything.

And they just announced LATAM dates of the Smith/Kotzen Project. I think the Iron Maiden tour will be announced in 2026.

Can somebody tell me any advantages of announcing the dates so late?
The sooner the ticket sales start, the better.
Something must have gone wrong with the planning of this tour.

Not exactly, they knew about AC/DC and GN'R tours - these bands announced their dates 5 months before their tours started. If the IM LATAM tour starts in October next year, they might announce the dates in March or April. We don't know the plans and the schedule of the events. It's 50 Anniversary celebration, they're announcing many other enterprises, projects, and attractions along with tour dates, which are only a part of the whole enterprise.

Exactly, and the public needs to regain its purchasing power.
It depends where you are from, people like us who are South east asia region dont get the opportunity to see iron maiden on a regular basis, hence we need to plan our trip much earlier. During the TFP we could plan as the tour dates were announced almost a year before hand.

That is what I mean. Announcing the dates earlier has only advantages.
Those who need to plan earlier can do so. Those who want to buy later can do so as well.
There is also no reason why a second round of heavy promotion of the shows couldn't be next year, e.g. together with the release of the documentary, just because sales are starting now.

Fucking finally! Norwegians in here - a fellow friendly neighbor (Swedish) and maidenhead needs an explanation (and possibly, an apology!). Going to Tons of Rock because I wasn't finished with the boys just yet. And Blood Incantation the day before! Two days of celebration and festivity booked and paid! Now, time for accomodation for me and my teenage daughter. Hotels are expensive as hell (and boring!). Looking to find an Airbnb nearby and there are lots of cheaper options.

Many weeks later and on my NINTH try, there's finally someone who accepts my booking request! What the fuck?! There's "Oh, I sold the apartment" or "Sorry, I don't know if I'm still alive in june 2026" or there's simply no one replying.

I thought we were friends?! Do you have anything against Swedes? Or metalheads? Is this an Oslo thing - being that level of "who gives a fuck"?

Anyway... Meet you there!
