The worst setlist I saw (and I saw every tour from 1990 on up til present) was GMETID in 2003. Sure, tastes differ, but I felt it was weird from the beginning til the end. Saw them at Donington then. World premier of a new song named "Wildest Dreams"... what a turd. And then TNOTB as an opener... Weird. The only surprise was BYDTTS (and maybe 22 Ave).
 
What do you all expect regarding the stage setup? I know Bruno announced it was going to be something amazing, as big as never before etc... but... idk. The era of innovative (and really impressive) stages ended with SSOASS. Later the 2003 DOD stage was a bit of a surprise, the castle, but still 2003 was far from what I'd call impressive. It was still somewhat of a normal stage for a band of Maidens call.
It has been the same for the past 20 years yet. The ramps and the backdrops. Backdrops have become boring over the years imho.

And I wonder if Maiden would still put money and effort in creating innovative new stages since they sell out their shows ANYWAY, plus: The end is quite near, so what for should they spend money for a new stage. From their perspective: A waste of money and effort.

What do you think?

Laughable. A good number of songs that had not played in over a decade were played on that tour (Revelations, Die With Your Boots On, Bring Your Daughter… to the Slaughter, 22 Acacia Avenue)!!!

They promised something special, like never before. I think (if) they wanna make RfyL Tour as something to remember, the book, documentary, pop-ups, many other attractions - the tour is a clue. I predict they'll use a lot of screens, elaborate lights, no backdrops this time.
 
Until they prove me wrong, I’m expecting the same old stage setup. In that regard, the Future Past tour was a big letdown for me compared to the ’86 tour. And the possibility of more screens doesn’t seem all that exciting at the moment. I also agree with @Dick Brucinson —at this stage in their career, it makes little sense to pour big money into the stage show, as sad as that may sound.

Maiden know they are known for their live stage shows, so ofc they will something special for such a big anniv. And maybe they will only use the new stage (most likely with screens) from now on..

TFP tour was a step in the right direction and was unique. The 80's shows had a special charm, it was different.

I think so, and there's a Global Merchandising article about promotional efforts related to 2025/26 tour. And we may read about European and U.S. stadium tour...
 
So, maybe they planned Run For Your Lives as the global stadium (generally) tour, including:
2025: 32 shows in EU/UK (stadiums/arenas/festivals)
2026: 44 shows (12 in EU/UK - festivals/stadiums; 15 USA/CAN/MEX - stadiums, festivals, some arenas; 9 S. AM - stadiums/festivals; 8 ASIA/OCE - open air/arenas)

I think North American stadium shows are possible if they announce limited dates in the biggest markets, and IM would invite some other popular bands to co-headline some dates (A7X, Slipknot, and a few more).
 
I can't decide! Should I spoil the setlist for myself or wait til I see Maiden?? So damn hard. In 2023 on the Future Past tour I saw the first show in Prague, the second of the tour, so it was pretty easy to avoid spoilers then. And it was an amazing experience to be honest, hearing the Blade Runner theme and then that Caught Somewhere in Time intro on tape....fuck me I screamed out loud from joy. And then straight into Stranger. Damn that was sick, the best Maiden moment I’ve had. And then Alexander on top of that... and also The Prisoner as a surprise. And Hell on Earth... so damn beautiful. And not having Hills, Hallowed or Beast was so nice haha. So yeah, it was amazing to experience that without spoilers.


But now on this Run For Your Lives tour, my first show is on June 9 in Copenhagen... can I stay off social media until then? And avoid spoilers? Thing is, I’m not as hyped about this setlist as I was for the last one, the last your felt more exciting to me. So I’m thinking maybe it could be fun to follow the setlist when it drops online on the 27th. Sit on the forum, listen to Maiden, drink a few Troopers and be online when it gets revealed. That might be a nice experience, hmm. But I really can’t decide

It gets harder and harder to do. Log into any social media when you've ever expressed any interest in Maiden and you're at risk of running into something immediately.

I keep meaning to do it for at least one tour, but then you also miss out on all the discussion until you've seen your show.

It's probably fake. 20 songs seem a lot but the total length is 1h 44mins, which is still possible. I mean Prowler, Tame, Infinite Dreams and Killers would be very nice. Sea of Madness also, it's different. I don't think it's true though. I'm still hoping for Rime AND Powerslave tbh
