RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Thought I had with them wanting to 'break' Simon in is what if they threw in something super quick off of Killers like Purgatory instead of a more 'common' song taking the Killers spot?
Purgatory is one of my favorites on that album, I'd love that. Would be neat considering its history as Floating and how old that track actually is. On the other hand I get the impression that it's never been a very popular song, but who knows. Would definitely be more interesting than Wrathchild.

Edit: Forgot about Hooks in you.
I think I said this already, so sorry if I'm repeating myself, but there aren't going to be any setlist curve balls. It's been called a genuine "greatest hits" set, so although there will be a few songs we've not heard them play for years, it's very, very likely to be a pure collection of singles and the biggest live staples. I think the concerts themselves, the shows as a whole, will be the spectacle rather than the choice of songs.

Maybe they'll do something surprising, like opening with Prowler or bringing back any of the Charlotte quadrilogy, but I think the biggest surprise for us hard core, long time fans will be playing a single that's been largely forgotten about (like Be Quick).

Don't forget this isn't just about drumming and singing, Steve's right hand isn't getting any younger either! Although he plays a lot more live strummed chords these days than he used to, it's still going to be demanding to play a lot of the older, faster more aggressive stuff even with Simon behind the kit.

In short, I'd expect a set of probably 16 or 17 songs total, set up in a way that they can open with some serious speed and aggression and play on adrenaline (Prowler, Rue Morgue), then bring it down to something older but easier on the band (like Wrathchild), then maybe something a little longer, then a fast couple, big centrepiece (Fear of the Dark), instant classic (Trooper), then mix it up and do something a lot less demanding (Strangers), before limbering up for the encore.

They might decide it's physically easier to throw in something like Daughter or From Here to Eternity than a Be Quick of Be Dead, but I'd still love to see the latter. Maybe Bruce will even bust out his biker jacket and stitched leather trousers ;)

Exactly, Bruce and Rod mentioned that in a tour preview last year. According to them, the special effects will bring new life to the songs and give the fans a whole new level of live show experience. So, this time we may see something like a greatest hits of an era (1980 - 1992) with digitalized animations as one big video clip.

Yeah, forgot about that one!

Actually there could be a fifth one, as someone in another forum mentioned to me the cover art of Twillight Zone. The plot thickens... Is Charlotte a quadrilogy or a quintalogy or however it is called when there are five songs in it.

could be pentalogy from the Greek word

The tour is expected to be the usual hits (singles, staples) with big new production, but the must-haves are 6-10(at most). There are 6-8 spotsfor other stuff. This tour will indeed be the last time for some of the 80's songs (early days (Dave's comment), SIT, some POM stuff), this time around, like most of the 90's and Reunion era songs - and we always get a few surprises, so it won't be the most standard Maiden set. Some of the (80's) songs not played in 10 years could be viewed as ''deep cuts''. For the next tours, they just need to play the big 5 classics and that would be enough. The rest are either new songs or popular songs/semi-classics. I feel like they could do a Part 2.

They've been planning this tour for a while, so I'm sure they'll come up with something interesting like the last tours. I can complain about the same old classics, but when you see the band live, even on Youtube, it's something else. Hits for a reason and a big smile on the face. The new stage will make them more interesting. This is probably the ultimate Hits tour for them, with the 80's material on focus again. They should deliver after the last few tours.

Some songs we can guess to scratch for this tour or the future (from this period), or for one more chance to be played again:
Prowler (has a chance)
Remember Tomorrow (Bruce ruled it out)
Transylvania
Strange World
Charlotte The Harlot (despite the 2005 plays)
Murders (has a chance)
Another Life
Genghis Khan
Innocent Exile
Purgatory (it doesn't fit Bruce's voice)
Invaders
22 Acacia Avenue (one last chance?)
Gangland
after the last few tours, Prisoner and Children Of The Damned are not likely
Where Eagles Dare (because of Nicko, they played it fairly recently and it's not an easy song)
Revelations (for this tour)
Still Life (one last chance?)
Quest For Fire
Sun And Steel
To Tame A Land (now or never)
Aces High (played very recently, Bruce cited is as one of his hardest songs to sing, one last chance?)
Losfer Words/Flash Of The Blade/The Duellists/Back In The Village are not likely at all.
Rime (one last chance?)
Sea Of Madness (one last chance)
most of the SIT are probably retired (without Wasted Years, maybe Stranger), even Alexander. Deja-Vu is unlikely, while Long Distance Runner is very hard for Bruce.
Moonchild (has a chance)
Infinite Dreams (now or never)
Can I Play With Madness (played last year)
Seventh Son (one last chance? specific song)
The Prophecy
Only The Good Die Young (Steve mentioned it, but that doesn't mean they could play it)

The only early 90's songs with ''some'' chance are:

Tailgunner (?)
No Prayer (maybe)
Bring Your Daughter (right?)
Be Quick Or Be Dead
Afraid To Shoot Strangers
Wasting Love (maybe)

We know them, they'll play whatever they want. The excitement is rising.

Exactly, IF they do what they promised, the good old hits should be the feast for the audience's ears and eyes, but if they just tell what some people wanted to hear, finally let the fans down and make them turn their backs on Irons. Somehow a risky situation.

Break time between rehearsals in split.

Has Janick always had such large bags under his eyes? I've never noticed it that much.
And no, I'm not writing this to make a negative comment about his looks.
I just hope that everyone is in the best possible health and shape.
