Reunion Maiden should have done something for the Blaze band earlier, even a support slot a few years back in my opinion … better late than never though!
Maiden don’t owe blaze a living but his mental health after the split … boy oh boy it’s a hard legacy to carry. Like Frodo and the ring bearer.
Blaze should be a regular feature in this kind of Maiden family event.
It would be a nice compromise for 2027 if they opted to do a big Eddfest again rather than taking the whole year off. Can probably get a few bigger names with it being tried and tested, and might even sell better than this year, if they can promise a one-off setlist. I know it's not at all like them, but it'd be nice.
I guess the problem is that they wouldn't necessarily want to set the precedent by doing it two years running and then feel obligated to keep doing it.
As we all begin to accept, deep down, that Tony Newton is going to produce the upcoming Iron Maiden concert video, I felt compelled to revisit some ancient manuscripts. I travelled to forgotten crypts in forsaken lands, made a few discreet calls, and performed no fewer than two highly dangerous rituals.
And here I stand, after long nights riding in horse-drawn carriages and on the backs of galloping horses, narrowly escaping shady figures, bearing information that simply must be revealed.
As always, the news is deeply concerning... and potentially very dangerous. I can't be too specific, so I'll have to speak in subtle, general terms. But I think you'll understand what I'm trying to convey.
Beware of Tony Newton. He is not as simple as he appears. And he is far too dangerous to be laughed at... or dismissed.
Shhh...
Seven deadly sins
Seven ways to win
Seven holy paths to hell
And your trip begins
Seven downward slopes
Seven bloodied hopes
Seven are your burning fires
Seven your desires
I am he, the born-less one The fallen angel watching you
Babylon, the scarlet whore I'll infiltrate your gratitude Don't you dare, to save your son Kill him now and save the young ones
Be the mother of a birth strangled babe Be the devils own,Lucifer's my name
He has the power to heal He has the gift of the second sight He is the chosen one So, it shall be written
So, it shall be done

This is Adrian talking about Donington 1992: "But when I got there, I was nervous and I started drinking whiskey. So I was pretty buzzed by the time they started. I was standing at the side of the stage, watching them play all the songs I used to play. I burst out crying...".
He became uninterested to play some of his own solos live over the years. That makes no sense to me. For example die with your boots on and heaven can wait - last time he played his solos was in 2003. Later when the band played the songs again janick did and ruined.
Did anyone else buy the programme/booklet thing for the Knebworth gig and find it a bit odd?
There's no text or anything. It's just 25 pages of Steve holding Blaze in a headlock and he just gets redder and redder each page. It's kind of beautiful.

DWYBO was last played in 2005 and Adrian played his own solo. Meanwhile, HCW's solo in 2003 is quite possibly the worst thing I've ever heard Adrian play. I'm fucking glad he gave it to Janick since evidently he didn't have any clue what to do with it.

I think letting Janick keep the solos he soloed during Adrian's leave was a good exercise in not reducing him to a second-class citizen after Adrian's return
Since our unplanned chat with him in Milan this year he`s become my favourite member of the band . I`ve realised his unique soloing, his dancing and energy are the glue that keeps this band together , even if he doesn`t wear a scarf and shades and look generally cool
