Compare any original track with Dawson’s rendition. He simply has NONE of the power, the agency, the urgency or the TEMPO. He’s too slow. They could’ve picked anyone in the world, and Maiden fans deserve better."It's time everyone agreed with me."

Simon is not the one who dictates the tempos. They have deliberately slowed down some of the songs. FOTD was already much slower when Nicko was still in the band, compared to the 90s or 2000s versions.Compare any original track with Dawson’s rendition. I’m not alone in this mindset.
I saw fear of the dark and wasted years and that wasnt a good version. Maybe theyll use ansterdam audioMaybe this confirms they'll use Knebworth?... which would be bad.
...but also the ability to turn adversity into artistry with the filming of the conclusion of the ‘lost’ encore from Paris La Défense’s curfew-damaged show. Immediate support from Pophouse saw the project pivot to the hallowed grounds of Knebworth House and offer a perfect Anglo-French solution to the cinematic and home entertainment targeted project.
Can somebody explain this to me
Great...It means we can look forward to Maiden Voyage opening somewhere once they retire.
So... "KISSification" of future Maiden?
If they (Pophouse it seems) will try any funny business with the editing of whatever comes out from this, they will also feel the wrath of that fandom they now poured money into getting a piece of.I saw fear of the dark and wasted years and that wasnt a good version. Men,editing has been in all the live albums. Check donington 1992 and the bootleg during the evil that men do, rock in rio BNW fear of the dark.... but durinh knebworth has to be 3 songs. If they (Pophouse it seems) will try any funny business with the editing of whatever comes out from this, they will also feel the wrath of that fandom they now poured money into getting a piece of.
Speaking of which... I wonder what goes on in the mind of Steve right now. I'm sure there's been small steps being made for several years but in a very short time frame, there's been the Burning Ambition docu ("not made by us"), the destiny of the tour film in someone else's hands and the uncertainty of what's beyond the 2027 break (statements from Bruce and Steve) and now the Pophouse acquisition. He's not in control anymore. It's a generational shift and it's spelled Ben Smallwood and Pophouse.
Yes, sounds exactly like Steve, alright.Steve, give us a sign. If you're being held hostage by corporate schmucks and forced to follow their orders, don't dye your hair for the US leg of the tour. We'll know that's your cry for help.

They are selling 50% of their catallogue, the eddie rights and what they have in the vault for using it for decades. And maiden members have the money now. For us? Could be good if they are going to release cd boxes and other things. The bad news... retirement its closerSteve, give us a sign. Are you implying that I'm Steve, or that you didn't like my joke?Yes, sounds exactly like Steve, alright.![]()
I think the joke echoing the pessimism, or maybe Defaitism, in the Pophouse thread was lame. It's like some here forget how Iron Maiden have worked for 50 years. No corporate schmucks are going to throw Steve and Rod around - if that was the case, then they would not have pursued this venture. Are you implying that I'm Steve, or that you didn't like my joke?
