Steve was a bit muted, while Bruce was probably the most notable. His timing issues on RTTH are no secret, but even beyond that I remember there being discussion about him being unusually reserved. Barely any talking or banter, little movement on stage compared to precious tours.

I guess both LOTB 2022 and TFP had different strengths and weaknesses. I had a great time on both shows though, despite the kinks here and there.

Ehhhhhh, I think the banter was always minimal on both iterations of the Legacy set. There was only really one banter break, 2018-19 was prior to The Clansman, 2022 was before Blood Brothers. I think there was at least some semblance of variation to his speech pre-Covid. Don't remember Bruce's level of movement on stage from 2022 in comparison to 2019, but 2019 he was performing having just blown out his Achilles prior to the North American run.

I didn't see them in 18/19 so I don't know how the banter was back then. And no worries, I'm not blaming him for being less mobile. He had a new hip or something back then. I just remember there being a lot of talk that the first shows after 3 years of no concerts felt somewhat understated. Probably didn't help that instead of having a bombastic opener with everyone running out after the intro, they opened with Senjutsu where everyone walked slowly out in broad daylight.

I think one reason for Bruce's "reserved" stage presence in 2022 (in addition to the COVID-era rust) was the nature of the Legacy of the Beast set, especially with the Senjutsu additions, as @Vaenyr above already mentioned about the opening track. There weren't many songs in the set that didn't have him carrying some kind of a prop, or having other kind of "choreography", hence the timing of the outfit changes, appearing back on the stage, catching breath etc. was even more precise than on some other theatrical Maiden shows. The "Bruce's wardrobe" videos they put out at the time were particularly enlightening on that!


While I absolutely loved the 2022 set as well and still consider 2018 as one of their best ever shows & tour legs, it was also nice to see a bit more laid-back and relaxed approach to the show for the Future Past run. Bruce was particularly talkative and while those performances also had certain choreography, as you'd expect from a Maiden show, there was a bit more "just messing around" aspect to it all as well. :)

As for 2026 tour, I'm still over the moon on the fact that they're finally playing Infinite Dreams and it sounds phenomenal, although I obviously wish that we could've witnessed Nicko & Steve handling the rhythm section there, their synergy in the original recording is absolutely iconic and one of the cornerstones of the track. Simon is doing great job, though! I'm very pleased with him.

Alas, I probably won't be seeing this one live myself. That sucks, but at least there should be a live video coming up from the show in Paris. I just hope that the mix is good.

What i did notice is the less amount of " "scream for me". I almost cried when he first did that in 99 when he returned
 
LOTB was by far the most spectacular stage design they've ever had and the tour is loved by many. But I also think the theatrics got in the way of stage presence and in my opinion, Bruce got detached from the audience in a way that was unrecognizable to me. He had too much going on and the whole thing was "on rails". I compare LOTB in Stockholm 2018 to BOS at Ullevi stadium in 2016 and that gig was so much fun. Excellent crowd participation at an even bigger arena.
