Maiden in Merida! I Never noticed they played that outstanding city. I would have loved to be there.

That number is correct. With guest list/comp it's well over 70k.

They played in a field outside the city adjacent to a youth hostel (it was a one-off festival), but it gave me a perfect excuse to enjoy all its Roman wonders with my better half and some good friends. Merida is a great place!

''Behind the scenes'' like En Vivo. Niice. Expected for this tour/celebration. Hope there will be comments from everyone. It's official by Maiden, right.
 
This ''behind the scenes'' is like a short TV special with some words from the Maiden crew, but no more. I think if Maiden release a live concert video from the tour, they should do their own and longer/detailed version. Like a special for this special tour, even without DVD's. It's not official by the band.

Apparently they come up with stage concepts a year and a half/two years in advance. Idk if it will be the same if they continue to use screens, but the next tour should already be preparing then. A lot of thought goes into it, even for the light show. Probably with the band too. Oh, and they record everything.
 
I read a discussion on Reddit that irritated me. I am not sure if it is allowed to copy it in here but if you don't believe me, I can do that.

The commentators write that Dave seemed so unhappy having to tour, to be on stage, had often rolled his eyes in frustration, also directed at Simon.
Of course, it is again the "Dave wants to retire" theory.
Ok, I didn't watch videos of all shows, but I didn't notice any of that. I thought Dave had fun and played very well and motivated. :wtf:

People see What they want to see and some like to add some stuff.

That kind of opinion would sugest attendance on multiple shows with sole focus on Dave (and great visibility). Yeah. Someone should go outside and touch the grass.

That something people talk because we can think he doesnt care about playing guitar while he is not on tour and we dont know.but he never said something about being thinking about retire. He always says that they will do this togheter and i think thats steve decision.

They are free to believe that if they want.

On the other hand we have camera footage for every show of the tour, ranging from potato quality to pretty damn decent, and Dave is practically glowing in most of them. He's all smiles - even more than usual.

Not only that, he's completely on fire and his solos were highlights for each song.

Who knows? Maybe he's not enjoying touring, but then he's a fantastic actor hiding it under amazing performances and great energy every night.

I think he plays the solos closer to the albums than he used to in the previous years, no? It would mean he sat down on his own and put in some work, it could only be a sign of increased motivation.

Started doing that on TFP. Alexander solo for instance was pretty much note for note. Same with CSIT.
 
Yeah. There was time when I was thinking that Dave is the one who doesn't enjoy playing anymore. But since LotB I think that I was wrong.
