RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

It looks to me as if the crowd were at a funeral...

I wanna comment on this real quick, having seen another example earlier today: it's incredibly funny how loud Adrian's vocals are compared to Bruce's in the first half of the chorus. And for good reason! I think he needs to give up on the little dive bomb bit or let Janick do it or whatever so he can also do the second half, because for the first time in ever, Bruce seriously needs the help.

Just back from the 2nd Sthlm gig. Wow!
I see a lot of complaints about the set list, which is kind of baffling to me. Best live version of SSOASS I've heard, a version of ROTAM to rival Flight 666, seeing Killers performed live for the first time. The band sounded tight, Simon's drumming is more muscular than Nicko's which adds a welcome drive to many songs. Even allegedly worn-out songs like the Trooper and Wrathchild were a blast. The video screens really adds atmosphere to a lot of songs and gives numbers like Hallowed and Rime an extra sense of spectacle.
I wouldn't mind them skipping RTTH and NOTB and instead playing something more from POM (Revelations, FOI?) and/or ATG (I didn't see them on the last tour but was amazed by how good that one sounded live).

Anyhow, the band seemed to truly enjoy themselves and it was a great gig.

Swedish crowds are generally tame, but it was very obvious on the ground that people were enjoying the show. Many were absolutely thrilled, judging by their post gig conversations (and what I saw in the floor) I am at the concert bus now and the post gig mood is great.
Ullevi 2005 crowd was fantastic.
But anyway, fans changed a lot in last 20 years. Bigger than ever also means a lot of causal fans showing up on shows, and a lot of people going just because today Metal is cool and not anymore underground satanist mass like before.

And generally people are more like zombies today, just because of way of life in modern time.

As well as Sthlm Stadion 2003. My first time seeing Maiden live. Absolutely amazing crowd and gig. Listen to the public service radio soundboard recording if you get the chance

Yes, I know that, also Roskilde bootleg is great. I just love that first few years of reunion era. Band on fire, fans on fire, a lot of side releases by band. But music releases not games and beer.

I dont understand what is the point of removing videos? That is a bit lame.
Probably to discourage people from filming with the intention of posting on YouTube, in keeping with the request to be phone-free. If people are filming just to post there knowing it'll just get taken down, those people might not bother.

But I agree, it's lame.

But Leana keeps recording and posting stuff on insta. Anyone following her can also post the spoilers, right? May not be the whole concert but her snippets were long. Even on the TFP tour I remember her posting an entire recording of the full song. So I think this “no phone” bullshit should be applicable to anyone.

I’m wondering what legal right Maiden have to striking videos on YouTube.

They can’t claim it’s their copyright video (something like Death on the Road etc which they are selling) because it’s not.

You can film something in a public space perfectly fine, there is no expectation of privacy in something like that.

So that leaves the song ownership. YouTube automatically detects that and is paying the songwriters for that.

So under what grounds are Maiden striking videos?

Jackson was used tonight on Killers, SSOASS, Trooper, HBTN, and probably WY.
Bummer, I hope Adrian won't replace the Lados as tour progresses or next year. It's something different to the whole show. Or at least record a live concert with them if they decide. Killers and Trooper a just perfect with the black Lado.

edit: Wrathchild was played with the Silverburst Lado. Good sound.

Actually, this is a rather nice version of Aces High. It's rare now. Adrian's backing vocals help, ofc. It shouldn't have been played, though. It's shocking. The fastest played song in the encore, which is good. Unlike Fear or Trooper, which were over the place tempo-wise and definitely not rejuvenated, unfortunately. I wonder if the band members want the songs to be played slower?

Adrian's with his preferred opening lick of the solo from 2022.
