I first read "hence why I left after that."Exactly, hence why I left it at that
I was thinking "he left after Phantom?"

I absolutely see your point!Ι'd seriously consider leaving after Hallowed, but I really like WY.
I had to skim through to find what was wrong with Hallowed, listen to the ending part, after the solos. One of the guitars starts playing the (normally) harmonized lead riff, the other instead continues to ply the power chords. Bruce tries to enter with the vocals to salvage the ending, but at that point they simply abandon the song. The whole "yeah, hallowed be thy name" section was fucked up. But they did manage to play the final seconds correct again. Actually pretty fun to hear them do mistakes of that caliber, since they're usually overall tight as a unit (not talking about individual mistakes).Admittedly, I’m not as familiar with tempos and musical knowledge as many here (like I have no idea was 12/8 is lol) but could you give me a time specific for the Hallowed that’s linked?
Murders do the job, but it's not an anthem or a hit, so the weakest opener is probably right. I think it's popular because of BOH, but the opener of LAD is probably more popular. Just saying. I think it was chosen over Prowler because it's faster. I still think Wrathchild would be a very nice opener from the list. Or 2 Minutes, for example.Weakest opener they could have chosen. In hindsight, (now that we know that Aces High is in the encore) they should have opened with Aces High to get it out of the way. Murders is not a hit, not an iconic opener and most importantly the performance is meh.
Better than Murders for sure.I still think Wrathchild would be a very nice opener.
Better than Murders for sure.
Yep, amazing show and now just had to put on again. I saw the show just before this and I remember watching this one live from tv when it was going. It was just neat to see proshot show couple days later my own show. I think 2005 and 2008 were among their finest times ever.
Murders is a good song to open. But i think it has lost aggressiveness. It was 20 years ago since this awesome show. 20 years!
And what you say about the missing starting vocals happens from time to time. Dont know why I remember moonchild 2012.Yep, amazing show and now just had to put on again. Glad to see it remastered and fixed the missing starting vocals from the original broadcast on Murders In The Rue Morgue.
Do you have any specific show from 2012 in mind when you mentioned Moonchild's missing starting vocals? And what you say about the missing starting vocals happens from time to time. Dont know why I remember moonchild 2012.
About the finiest moments that are from 1999 to 2008. In 2010 to 2013 and 2017 to 2019 they were as good as usual but bruce is decrasing the stamina each tour. Normal for a person at his age

That's what I was thinking because 2012 doesn't ring a bell concerning proshots?Wasn't it Rock In Rio 2013?
Yup. Thankfully we have the Rock am Ring 2014 pro-shot as well. Worse setlist (imo, RIP Afraid To Shoot Strangers), but Moonchild starts out with the vocals at proper levels.Wasn't it Rock In Rio 2013?
It's time for Nicko to play the soundboard recordings of Steve's performances to Steve.Ι agree, it sounds like a Steve mistake. Simon just followed Steve
It seems so.

I agree with the years you mentioned—it was absolute greatness from 1999 onwards.
I think Bruce can't avoid aging, which is, of course, part of being human. Even though he’s taken great care of his voice, it’s too bad they decided to release a show from 2019 for Legacy of the Beast, especially since he sounded much better at the earlier tour dates in 2018. At his age, his voice can still hold up, but maybe it's better to avoid overly long tours or at least make sure his voice gets proper rest between performances. I don’t really understand the logic behind recording a live album toward the end of such a long run. While the 2019 leg wasn’t much longer than 2018, there’s still a noticeable contrast between some of those performances.
Live After Death was also recorded toward the end of a long tour, and even with all its status, it’s certainly not a completely fair representation of Bruce’s voice at its best. I love that live album—it's one of the greatest of all time—but it’s still odd that the band could have easily recorded and released material from earlier shows that might have captured a stronger performance.
And it seems like they still haven’t fully grasped that Aces High really shouldn’t be played as an encore—it would be better off earlier in the set. After all, even Bruce himself has said it’s one of the hardest songs for him to sing in the setlist.
