RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

They really could have changed 1 song for the 2nd night with the screens. Is it that hard for them? They added screens to their show!

Alexander was probably a one-off, but I wouldn't rule out some deep cuts for the next tour, be it a new album or something else. I really wonder what stage Maiden will do for the next tour. They still sound great live, desire is all.

Well, I think it's played in three tours and this is the worst in terms of Stage, lights and pyro. It looks cold and yep, the animation is cool, but the Can I play with madness 5 seconds videoclip is much better than this one. It's just my opinion and my taste

For a band set in there ways, yes it is too much for them rotating sets lol.

Whatever they decide to do once this tour wraps up, I think the giant screen is here to stay, they will keep milking that and not go back to curtains

Honestly just ONE deep cut for ONE of the classics and keep all the other boring classics (it's fine I know people love them) and there probably wouldn't be any nerds like me complaining.

Literally keep the set the same but swap out 2 minutes for Infinite Dreams and we would all have fan boy boners.

The last tour only had like two songs that I was particularly psyched to see, CSIT and of course Alexander so I didn't care if the rest of the set was Fear of the Bore, Number of the Dull and Tedious to the Hills

Are you bored with Murders in the Rue Morgue, Killers, Phantom of the Opera, Rime of the Ancient Mariner and/or Seventh Son?

I'd call all of those classics and hardly overplayed ones at that.

I get the feedback but it's not like any of those are super common songs.

Anyone who has ever seen Maiden in the last 20 years knows why they play Fear of the Dark. It's electric every single time.

New Maiden tour time really highlights that you can't please everyone.

Surely you're not saying milking as in a bad thing? It's shown the possibilities are so much more with the new screen as opposed to static curtains.

After having watched videos of the ‘new’ stage production. Is it just me or after all the talk of a totally updated stage is it still just the 2003 Dance of Death set up with the drapes now replaced with screens?

I think I understand what you mean but it's such a small similarity tbh. And the screen is much, mich bigger in comparison.

Fans get in their minds what they want the show/tour to be and if it doesn't match up some will complain.

They hear "rare and deep cut" tracks and think of songs they've never played before or only once.

Well - Murders, Killers, Phantom, 7th Son, and yes Rime are rare and/or deep cuts that haven't been played in a number of years. They all happen to be fan favorites/crowd pleasers as well. They can only fit so many songs in a set. They've given us 17 this tour when it's been 15 the past couple tours.

I give them kudus for having the balls to do something very different with their stage show and I think it's amazing for a first effort. If they stick with the giant video screen the possibilities are endless and can only get better.

Given how much they switch out song-wise between tours, I agree. Reckon Evil That Men Do will make its comeback there.

Great setlist honestly. Murders, Killers, Clairvoyant, Powerslave, RIme, Seventh Son etc. Amazing.

But they really missed a golden oppurtunity to start the encore with Tailgunner. They could easily have kept the intro "war-tape" and screen stuff for it. It would have rocked as an encore and would have represented No Prayer in the setlist. That's my only gripe with the show - otherwise you can't really put a finger on it.

You're not talking about the part that always was on the album version that they never played live, right? The bit from 5:15 onwards in the above video? The one that probably wasn't even considered when they finally had three guitarists because it's presumably one of the overdubs Dennis Stratton added that Steve hated? Cos I'm not hearing any other obvious changes to how they normally play Phantom, and checking Chile '09 it seems the pre-solo section harmony bit is also the same with Adrian playing an octave lower or similar.

That only shows that Adrian was ahead of his time. He could anticipate being this cool more than 15 years ago!

I think the encore and specifically Aces High, is the reason many fans complain. The set overall is good.
I think we can all agree that they shouldn't replace more than 3 songs. So, 80% of the setlist is perfect.
Ok, if they played something else instead of Aces/2 mins it would have been perfect, but the current setlist isn't far off.
The encore was totally anti climatic, swap out Aces and Wasted Years and the complains would definitely be less, even if it was Tailgunner, FOTD and Running Free
