RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Also :

In watching the videos it’s clear that they are now making the focus of the show be on the massive screen and the animations, and the band themselves are barely moving anymore, even Steve and Janick.

They are likely playing to a click track since the video is such a massive part of the production now. Be interesting to compare a few shows later on and see if the tempos are all identical, that’s the giveaway to bands using a click.
With their age, a new drummer, and a new video setup I wouldnt be surprised if they are using a click. I dont think itll be permanent

So this was greatest hits setlist for larger audience. It seems they just made set of most streamed songs online without Evil and Wasting love

Shame that they did not play some songs that they were not already played in reunion era.

My biggest problem is that they overhyped production. They discovered big screens and animitaion in 2025. Wow, other bands are doing that for years already.

I was writing about that years back, how I would like to see Eddie worlds in big screen and they are fantastic, but Bruce dont make it such a big deal.

Which, again, is kind of the whole reason for this tour
Not sure I agree to that. If you’re doing a tour to celebrate your golden era, you gotta get out some of the deep cuts or stuff that wasn’t played live in a while. Honestly I’m still bummed out by the fact that they just have 1 song from POM. Easily could have brought out Revelations, Die with your boots on, still life.

If they did a pro-shot of every tour like they used to do on BluRay (or put the shows up on streaming platforms like Netflix, if they want to join us here in the modern world) people would be less apt to film everything. First night aside.
Nah. Metallica often upload pro shot songs to YouTube from pretty much every gig they do when they tour. So they have camera everywhere filming professionally and it's still a sea of phones in front of James and co in the crowd

The ice on the screens is cool.

Slightly tedious sitting through two epics with three minute bass breakdown sections in the middle, both this and Mariner grind to an absolute halt in the middle. Suggest just doing one of them would be better for the flow of the show.

Man, Steve took a double dose of the black hair dye. Should have shared half with Simon.
I didn't understand why they played both these epics either to be honest. I love both but feel only one should be in a set. Again I'd swap out Seventh Son for Infinite Dreams and something else cool.

Sorry to say that Im happy I sold my tickets. This has to be the most overhyped yet most dissapointing setlist ever. And 3 epics is just waste of time. Rime is more than enough. Instead of 7th son,FoTD and Phantom we could have had rarely played hits like Infinite Dreams, Be Quick, Still Life, Sea of madness and No prayer for the dying. Oh well at least I can listen to Raphael Mendes and his band playing the deep cuts lol. This is just my opinion Im happy for all of ya who likes this set!

After all a pretty great setlist with some songs they didn´t play live in a while.
Very happy with Phantom, Murders, Powerslave, Rime, SSOASS and Hallowed all together in 1 set! The encore is abit pale but what the hell: I´m looking forward to the Helsinki gig so much!

Up the Irons!
:edmetal:

With the Fan club message I really thought we'd get Boots in the encore.
