God I really do live near some stupid people. They've invited some friends over for a party, and following their performance of last week where they set their decking on fire with a chiminea, have just started a roaring fire in their chiminea, which is on the decking again.

Maybe they're not stupid, but pyromaniacs?

A bit like the blasted music (which they often walk away from and leave playing outside), I think they don't know why they do some things, only that it's some kind of indicator of money or status. Anyone who's anyone has a chiminea in their garden. They have it belching flame then sit at the opposite side of the yard, ie not getting any benefit from the warmth, so the smoke doesn't go in the house.

They've also bizarrely covered a small part of their garden with pebbles and dozens of mini gold and silver Buddhas, about 20 of which are on little shelves on their garden fence. Plus a few plaques with 'live laugh love' written on them.

The reason why they can't tell when it starts and when it ends is that before the end comes, they'll be asleep. And when they wake up again, there's a good chance the first thing they hear is "... don't you think I'm a saviour ..."

I was contemplating whether to grow a MacGyver mullet now or cut my hair myself with a machine. Now the hairdresser I normally use will reopen on Monday, so I now have a third option

When my neighbors played their annoying music WAY to loud I would blast back with Opeth. Deliverance to be exact, I would leave the whole album at full blast. They were very slow learners as it took them two weeks to pick up on it.
