I used to like the Turner stuff quite a bit, but it turned out to be too shallow for long-term appreciation, with the notable exception of Street of Dreams, which I still like a lot.

I know almost every single song and like them very much. Rainbow will always remain in my top 5 artists of all time. Something like your view of Queen. :)

I have Down to Earth, Difficult to Cure, Rising and Ritche Blackmore's Rainbow. Never really listened to the first two though, but the last two are superb (obviously!). I should probably listen to the others.

How often do we have new songs? And who chooses the next song?

Two days later, the first guy to respond to this thread picks a song he wants to discuss and starts a new thread. If he doesn’t want start the next thread, he can pass that option to the next guy.
Only rule is to pick songs you think a majority of forum users will be familiar with.

Check out Long Live Rock n Roll.  It's the last of the Dio records.  Not quite as good as Rising, but still worth knowing.  "Kill the King" in particular kicks ass.

The best song off that album for me is Gates of Babylon. Fuck, I love that track.
