"Go Ler!" *solo* "Thanks Ler!".
To be fair, until Green Naugahyde (2011) they hadn't done anything since the 90's. Claypool's own output in the intervening years, on the otherhand, has indeed been a pretty mixed bag; as I said - more experimental, & less bass driven. In a good way?I liked the idea of this album but what I heard was pretty boring. Primus hasn't been a very good band in years.
Indeed, no particular need to purchase this one. Unless you're some sort of Primus completist...That's pretty much how I feel. I think I'll skip this one then.
Mosh, they only were (really) an album-releasing band of the 90's. Declining from the off?True, but even in the 90s they were declining.
Can't remember a damn thing off it, so your summary is certainly apt.Green Naugahyde was a very bland come back album and was more of the same for them.
