Why's Ummagumma still here? it's usually labeled the worst Pink Floyd album.

Final Cut

'Ummagumma' isn't THAT bad. It has some nice little gems and it contains my favorite version of 'Saucerful of Secrets'. Plus you can't go wrong with a song like 'Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict'. :p

I think Obscured could have been higher on the list. Momentary Lapse? Not so much. It's fine where it's at. Not that it's a terrible album. It has some good songs on it but I could never listen to the whole thing more than once or twice. It's not a good Floyd album to me.
 
I only remember the pretty cool drone in Obscure's opening song, and heard the rest only once or twice. Lots of songs on it sounded the same in my memory.
 
The album is a soundtrack to some sort of French film called La Vallee so some of the songs do sound abit the same to go along with the movie I suppose. Like Mudmen seems to be an instrumental version of Burning Bridges etc.
 
Yea, a lot of ideas are reprised throughout the album, but this isn't unlike Floyd anyway. Clouds has a bit of a halfbaked feeling, it doesn't flow like their other albums and a lot of the songs (while good) aren't fully fleshed out. Obviously this is understandable as this seemed like a quick project that isn't really a traditional Floyd album. I'm sure if they treated it like Meddle or DSOTM, it'd be just as great as those albums.

That said, I still like it a lot.
