Fuck sake, Ireland. Same old shit, pick up difficult points only to drop easier points.
Scotland tend to lose to Georgia at crucial points in qualifying campaigns, so it could be worse. You could be Scottish.

In happier news, Andorra won a European Championships qualifier for the first time ever last night. They beat Moldova 1-0.:cheers:

Cowardly stuff from McCarthy, was happy with a point when a win would have put us in a great position. Some of the players are absolute dogshit, afraid of possession

Norway are playing Spain. Or, Spain are playing, Norway are running. Will be very happy with one point.

Edit: After 22 minutes we actually make an attempt on goal. Not bad.

0-0 at half time. Nothing like the previous time we played a top team at home (Germany). Spain have rested some of their best players and it shows.

Yep, and we need Sweden to get maximum one point from the games against Spain and Romania. We are behind Sweden on head-to-head away goals after 3-3 at home and 1-1 away ...

What serves in our favour is that our away match vs Romania will be played behind closed doors for home fans, so a few hundred Norwegians will be the entire crowd. Hope that takes away some of the home advantage for Romania and that it's back when they play Sweden.

The game vs Romania will not be behind closed doors after all. About half the stadium will be opened up ... but only kids will be allowed in!

I suspect they will behave better than the adult fans.

Watching Bulgaria vs England and that game has been stopped twice due to racist chanting from somewhere in the stands. The second time some people were escorted out. Next Bulgaria home game also kids only?

Switched to Ukraine vs Portugal for the last 20 minutes and that was a little more dramatic ... Ukraine were 2-0 up when Portugal got a penalty for handball, and the Ukraine player was given his second yellow. 2-1 with 15 minutes to go and one man down but they managed to hold the lead.

Alas, we only managed a draw tonight. Even with wins vs Faroe Islands and Malta now, we can at best hope for being third, equal on points with either Romania or Sweden - and behind on head to head away goals against either of them. Unless Sweden drop points vs the Faroese, which just isn't going to happen.

So, our hope is the Nations League playoff in March. Not looking forward to it, Norway never play well in March.

Bad result for Ireland but they played more football tonight than I expected and were certainly worth a draw. So it is as was hoped/expected when the draw was made; it will go down to the wire. We have a bad record against the Danes but I am full of hope, 92nd minute winner from Shane Duffy, here we come :jedi:

So apparently there was an incident in Sofia? Racist chants or something? One of the goalkeepers saying it got blown out of proportion? What's that about

Monkey chants and nazi salutes from some of the Bulgarian fans, apparently. I listened on the radio and there were definitely audible boos when black English players got the ball.
I thought England said they would walk off if there was racist shit from the crowd but they played on after a stoppage.

UEFA has decided that Russia and Kosovo can't play against each other anymore and will be kept apart in future draws. It going to be a mess next time they do a Nations League or tournament qualifying draw with Russia and Kosovo kept apart, Gibraltar can't play Spain, I think Armenia and Azerbaijan can't play each other, obviously Kosovo and Serbia too and there's probably one or two other examples. If North and South Korea - who are officially still at war - can play matches in Asian tournaments then surely the European nations can too. UEFA should just stick with the same groups every time.
