Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the Ligue 1 record for goals with 38. And he's rumoured to go to the MLS. He has at least two-three years of elite football in him, I hope it doesn't happen.

Man City drew with Swansea, Man Utd only needs to beat Bournemouth 19-0 to get into that 4th place!

Speaking of Man Utd, Manchester United's Premier League clash against Bournemouth has been abandoned after the discovery of a suspect package at Old Trafford.

Manchester United bomb scare was caused by security blunder after dummy device was left in Old Trafford toilet BY MISTAKE

  • Stands at Old Trafford dramatically evacuated after 'code red' alert because of 'incredibly lifelike explosive device'
  • Mobile phone attached to wiring said to have been discovered in toilets during Manchester United's final-day clash
  • Match was postponed for 45 minutes but staff later abandoned game altogether, sending away thousands of fans
  • Police and sniffer dogs deployed to ground, which has capacity for 76,000, and a controlled explosion carried out
  • Sportsmail understands the scare was caused by a dummy device left in a toilet by mistake after a training exercise
  • Greater Manchester Police assistant chief constable John O'Hare later confirmed Sportsmail's exclusive story
Greater Manchester Police assistant chief constable John O'Hare later confirmed Sportsmail's exclusive story.
In a statement he said: 'Following today’s controlled explosion, we have since found out that the item was a training device which had accidentally been left by a private company following a training exercise involving explosive search dogs.
'Whilst this item did not turn out to be a viable explosive, on appearance this device was as real as could be, and the decision to evacuate the stadium was the right thing to do, until we could be sure that people were not at risk.'
One security official, who saw the device, said: ‘It certainly did not look like something you would want to mess with.’

They did the right thing to take it seriously. The terror alert status was raised a few days ago re some IRA activity, and Manchester has been a target before. I don't suppose the prize idiots who made a fake bomb and managed to leave it behind were G4S by any chance?

Oh I agree that the it was the right thing to take it seriously, the ones who left the device behind epically failed.

A "respected" former referee who works as a "football pundit" here went on a 5 minute tirade on air arguing that Mario Gomez won't have a chance to play for Germany in Euro 2016 because they already have Robert Lewandowski.

Not enough facepalms for this one.

What a huge article! What was the fail exactly?

What is a dummy device? What kind of device are we talking about?

The fail was to leave the dummy bomb behind after the exercise was finished. It directly caused the evacuation of acrowd of 76,000, so epic seems appropriate.

Dummy device here simply refers to a device that was made to resemble a bomb, for the purpose of training.

Fake bomb used in a security exercise. They probably hid it and sent security staff to find it. Which they didn't.

In itself this can be seen as an exercise as well. Not a bad training for when they really find a bomb.

Almost forgot to boast: I won the Maidenfans Fantasy Premier League with more than a 100 points to spare. :okok: Ended up with my best Overall Rank since the 2011/12 season, too.
