De Gea has been immense this autumn. Best keeper in the Premiership this season, no contest.

Sterling's failure to convert the big chance in the first half was partly because De Gea was showing confidence, making Sterling lose his confidence in the situation. Both Sterling and Balotelli showed that they lack that little extra confidence that strikers need.

But for me, the moment of the match was Valencia's movement leading up to 1-0. I was like "oh no, he's stopped and will pass it back as usual" and then he fools two Liverpool defenders and serves it perfectly for Rooney. The best I've seen from Valencia since the 2010-11 season, where he was great.

Good weekend for me too, Manchester United beat Liverpool and Milan just beat Napoli 2:0. Even though I was pissed that El Shaarawy got benched for Milan and went to buy earphones instead of watching the first half

Paris Saint Germain vs. Chelsea
Manchester City vs. Barcelona
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Atlético Madrid
Juventus vs. Borussia Dortmund
Schalke 04 vs. Real Madrid
Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Bayern München
Arsenal vs. Monaco
Basel vs. Porto

Finally a good draw for Gunners after years of suffering.

Not sure whether to post this here or in European Politics, but I read that Gala and Fenerbahce fans are supporting Besiktas fans as they are being put on trial for "attempted coup d'etat" by Turkish authorities in the aftermath of the Gezi park protests ... @The Flash - any thoughts?

I'm in full support of Beşiktaş fans (it's actually just a group of fans called Çarşı). It's a fight of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly against the government and the corrupt justice system.

Mario Balotelli has received a one-match ban for sharing a picture on Twitter ... I find it harsh, but it was nevertheless silly of him to post it.

The allegedly offensive part being the two lines in purple text at the bottom. Those two lines look like they have been photoshopped in by someone who wanted to make an obviously anti-racist image just a little bit racist.

The Dutch are on the rise. Beware!

So the tournament is also in Canada.

wiki info:
The cities of Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Moncton have been selected to host tournament matches. Halifax was also considered, but removed itself from contention in March 2012. Toronto decided not to bid, due to potential conflicts with the 2015 Pan American Games.

Manchester City playing Milner as a striker because Agüero, Dzeko and Jovetic are all injured. I think this is the first time that Navas, Nasri, Silva and Milner all start.
