It's official, he's gone :( Y u do this to me every year Milan :( Shevchenko, Kaka, Ibra, Thiago Silva and now Balo :(

He's 77 years old, he won't be in charge for much longer :p Then his daughter will take over, fire Galliani and Milan might come back to its old glory

Atlético are once again showing a tremendous display of team defense against an even scarier Real Madrid team. They intentionally let the opponents play with the ball and dictate the possession. The team is well conditioned, everyone moves to the direction the opponents aim to attack from, two-three players pressure the ball and when they lose the battle the backing midfielders step up to their places until they get their positions back. When they do get the ball, they use crisp, quick passing that leads to counter attacks. They avoid long balls because they're likely to mess up their defensive lineup if they don't get it right. They use a lot of different systems on their set pieces and use them effectively.

This is all about Simeone's managerial skills and the motivation he gives to his players to run this very challenging and demanding style in every single game. In a team like this, star names don't matter, because the system creates its own stars.

Good effort!

Angel Di Maria is said to be on his way to Manchester United.
Yep, Xabi Alonso wished him good luck in Man Utd on Twitter :p

Wonder where he'll play. If they manage to buy an experienced center back who isn't injury prone and a defensive midfielder, their best formation would be 4-3-1-2.

De Gea
Rafael Evans/Jones CB Shaw
Herrera DM Di Maria
Mata
Rooney RVP

They already have bought a CB: Marcos Rojo.

Van Gaal likes playing 3-4-1-2 so I think they'll play like this:

De Gea
Jones Rojo Smalling
Di Maria Carrick Herrera Shaw
Mata
Rooney Van Persie

Needs two more signings: A world class centre back (Hummels?) and a tenacious defensive midfielder (Khedira, maybe?)

Blind should be prioritized over Hummels I think. As for the defensive midfielder, Khedira is probably the best on the market.

Blind primarily plays as a defensive midfielder, he only played as a LB in the World Cup 'cause they had no one else in that position. And he can play as a CB in a 3-man defence, like Rojo.
