Super-duper awesome album. The energy is just infectious. I'm always amazed at Steve's punk-infused fast, high energy bass lines on this record. I feel, had there been a full-fledged epic in it with a bit better lyrics in the songs, it would have even surpassed their debut!

I wrote a review on it a while ago. You can read here.
So nice to see love for this album.

Wings Of Steel - We Rise :rocker:

Pure classic 80's metal! Like the perfect time-period song. Love it. Great production! Intro, riffs, solo, vocals... all great. Rock on!

Wings Of Steel - Winds Of Time

A 10-minute title track as a single! Quality fast metal, it reminds me of Crimson Glory and elements of early Helloween or HammerFall. Lots of cool and longer solos, the calm middle part was expected and it's very nice and effective, neat riffs, the chorus is not fast- which is a surprise, but it works.

A band to watch for me. I really like the 2 singles from their upcoming new album.

W.A.S.P. - first 5 albums (the classics) and some other songs (Still Not Black Enough, Skinwalker, Let It Roar, Wasted White, Heaven's Hung, Babylon's Burning, Scream)

Their material for the most part is underrated - a great blend between metal and rock. Some interesting stuff too. Ofc not every song is a winner, but almost all of them are enjoyable. The debut, Crimson Idol (special album from them) and The Headless Children are their peak. The choruses really work. Btw, the drum sound on the 1992 album is so good. Blackie is the soul, great voice. Wild Child is still one of my all-time favorite songs.

The listen is such a ride. :rocker:
