I discovered Rush with 2112 and Counterparts but it was this one that made me absolutely crazy about them. The Trees, Xanadu and Strangiato are even better than the studio versions.

Watched the whole professionally filmed Helloween show today while eating breakfast and then making pumpkin soup. I was actually quite surprised by how energetic their concert was on all fronts... And overall, the stage is perfectly appropriate for an audience of 50,000. Those guys are definitely living through their golden years, that's for sure.

I've never been a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers (I like some of their songs, but I've never really delved deep into their discography), but I've liked Chad Smith ever since I saw him fooling around with Will Ferrell, his lookalike. Chad, to me, has a very likeable personality (from what I've seen on the surface, at least - first impression), and he strikes me as an immensely potent drummer. His expressive, energetic style is very infectious.
I found this YouTube channel called Drumeo, where drummers try to come up with their own interpretations of songs they're supposedly unfamiliar with, and it's pure joy to watch - almost like watching creative lessons or musical challenges. Obviously, I have zero knowledge of drumming, but Chad was super convincing to me in the task he was given by the channel's crew. He was absolutely slamming for real.
Kudos to the man!
For those with some expertise in the drumming department - how good is Chad Smith? Personally, I think he's great.
