NOW PLAYING

Yeah, the sound is very metallic. I can definitely imagine Rob belting out those lyrics. Also, around 4:13, Tatler starts playing a guitar lick or figure that reminds me of Metallica's “Devil's Dance.”

A Blabbermouth article says the new Saxon album was produced by Biff and mixed by Sneap. I can say one thing: Biff knows what he's doing, unlike Steve. And Sneap - whether you like his style or not - certainly knows his way around a mix.

Love that Portland, Oregon band Pond - This is from their self titled 1993 album. Anyone besides me who hears Nirvana "You Know You're Right" in this? If so, we know where it might come from

Another great 90s northwest band. Take the pop of 60s bands and give it a good 90s punk rock spin

I remember this one. This was also the first time I remember seeing that dreamy “real time slo-mo” effect used, which would have actually required them to perform the song super fast and then slow the video back down to match normal music delivery speed. Kinda cool.

Yeah I think you are right! Cool effect for sure.

Some more 1993 Posies studio stuff:

Masterpiece, which turned 30 years old on 30th August.

Apparently, the Manic Street Preachers are going to release something related to the album soon (possibly Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave, the recording of when they played in its entirety in 2014/2015).
