NOW PLAYING

Virtual Insanity

1.Futureal
2.The Mercenary
3.Lightning Strikes Twice
4.The Clansman
5.When Two Worlds Collide
6.Dream Of Mirrors
7.Don't Look To The Eyes Of A Stranger
8.The Nomad

I would miss Educated Fool and Como Estais Amigos, but it's a strong album imo. Like a typical Reunion era album.

Still gutted I missed what was quite possibly the last opportunity (and also my first) to see Van der Graaf Generator live after catching Covid in 2022. :(

Album full of filler songs (2, 3, 5) Imo. Sorry. :)

So there's this

And now I also discovered this - done by punk rock band X in 1980:

I wonder what punk rock cover of The Doors I'll discover out of the blue next  :edmetal:

Hmm, to my taste first two are better than Pyromania, although Hysteria is undeniable pop metal masterpiece.
My ranking is:

1.High 'N' Dry (my favorite style of the band)
2.Pyromania (it's close)
3.Hysteria (really really catchy)
4.On Through The Night/Adrenalize

That's it.

The songs may not be on the level of some of the other material from the time, but that doesn't mean they're fillers. Especially ''When Two Worlds Collide'' imo. I think they offer more than a ''typical'' filler. The first three opening songs are anthemic and energetic bangers. I think this album has a nice flow to it. And it's interesting material for the most part.
