NOW PLAYING

I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't like this cover.

I love it when done by The Dubliners, I love it when done by Thin Lizzy, but here...

I think I could live with the weird rhythmic feel and the general instrumental part quite fine. But Hetfield... when he's singing this, he just sounds like a git, there's no way around it.

Nah, I think it's pretty shit too, surprised they've been playing it a lot down through the years. Not a major fan of Lizzy's version either.

A very influential album when I first heard it as a teenager (I became a big fan of the band and saw then live loads of times between 1993 and 2015). Thin Lizzy-influenced heavy rock with great - albeit quite depressive - very poetic lyrics about life and death.

''HYPE train'' playlist for Bruce's upcoming solo album:

If Eternity Should Fail [Maiden]
Book Of Thel (heavy beast)
Power Of The Sun (melodic rocker)
Accident Of Birth (essential song for his solo sound)
Taking The Queen (acoustic & melodic + heavy)
Navigate The Seas Of The Sun (full-on acoustic)

Now that's a playlist! :rocker:
