The flight of Daedalus.
Daedalus was an Athenian architect that designed the Labyrinth and fathered Icarus who in turn gave his name to the most bizarre Greek island after Samothrace: Icaria!!
Fun fact: If you see a Greek word ending in -inth or having it somewhere, this means it's a pre-Hellenic word, something that the Pelasgians would speak. A tiny evidence except Homer that Cretans could be that people.
Speaking of Mythology, here's an epic traditional Cretan song about Zeus. The singer is a living legend and the lyrics say that Zeus was living in the mountain of Ida (Crete, where Zeus grew up) as a mere herdsman.
Fun fact 2: This guy was one of the earliest people I saw live on stage as he used to play in the same tiny venue where the Metal groups of my city use to play. He is quite "metal" in his way, so there you have it.
