I agree. The harsh vocals are usually a huge turnoff for me too. I only have 2 melodic death metal albums: In Flames´ Jester Race and Whoracle which both contain great instrumental parts.

One of my favorite solo songs of Bruce - the verses in it are one of my all time favorites, great riff, chorus, instrumental section (with the drums) and the second solo is pure gold. ''Alien'' level of greatness!
