For some reason, I really like this band. These guys and Enslaved. I say "For some reason" because I usually gravitate to more palatable stuff such as Iron Maiden,Cheap Trick,The Beatles,Oasis,AC/DC,Scorps,Within Temptation,etc. Funny thing is, I once played a song of theirs to my 9 year old niece and though she didn't like the vocals, she preferred them over country Music:) And no, I didn't play a song with some of their most explicit lyrics. Not that she, or I, could understand what they were saying anyway:) Nor have I played them to her since:)

I just stumbled upon some live stuff on YouTube and I loved it. Good riffs and song structures. Not just a wall of noise but shades of light and dark. Definite banger status. It sounds like your niece has good taste.
