Black Sabbath - Cross Purposes (1994)

EDIT: Fantastic album
Tony Martin would have been the great option to replace to Bruce in '93.
The title track of this album is one of my favorite songs of the band.

Tony Martin era is underrated - good albums and songs (some really great songs). Fantastic vocalist. His voice has a Dio vibe.

Together with the GMAC finalists the best Maiden ever did. If SIT would´ve been in the final I´d definitely vote for it. Everything on this album is perfect: the artwork, the production, the guitar sound, the performance but most important: the songs!
Absolutely. The sound and production are magical. I was honestly shocked that SIT lost to Ride the Lightning. But I definitely don't mind SSOASS winning either.

You meant Cross of Thorns?
Oops! I made a mistake because both the album name and the name of the song starts with ''Cross''. And yeah, ''Cross Of Thorns'' is a fantastic ballad. ''Dying For Love'' from this album is another great ballad.

About Tony Martin to replace Bruce in '93 - I always thought that songs with Dio on vocals would be done great by Bruce (*his voice from 1997 onwards)... ''Rainbow In The Dark'' comes to mind. But vice versa, I'm not sure (especially the material before the 90's albums). Tony's voice is similar to Dio's voice and a song like ''Aces High'' (for example) would be quite different. The new songs created by Maiden with Tony would have been great classic heavy metal, without any doubt.
Nothing beats this album.

Futuristic classic! Unique sound. Timeless album cover. Fantastic songs and solos. Top-notch album! Only Maiden can create such an album.
