Nicko McBrain

Why shouldn't 60 or 70-year-olds want to look good? That is not the question.
There are just some who know how to do it or have advisers who know, while others gradually become strange plastic people.

And to tell a client this is not the implant size for your body type is also part of it. But of course there is always someone who won't tell a client that because of money.

And, more importantly, that they are happy to have their picture taken with a fan with the latter not having to pay for that.:nana:
That is weird for them too. Its a bit "kiss mode" . I usually dont ask for photos but if i do has to be musicians. I have one with helloween in a public space and they were cool but a bit " come on, everybody is watching" so i understand that if you are famous you cant be taking photow with all. But bruce or other maiden member. if i met him i would find the way.

I think Kiss do it to the extreme but it's pretty standard across most bands for this sort of stuff

Is this the first time Maiden members have done paid photo opportunities like this? I think so.
I once asked Steve for a photo, but that was by chance and he was very nice.
Yeah I'm fairly certain. Steve did free Meet n Greets with British Lion, photo, signed things, was very friendly.

I doubt Iron Maiden will ever do paid photo opportunities. I hope not. Quite surprised Nicko and Bruce are doing it. I assumed these kind of things were for those with the financial need or shameless capitalist whores.

A tad sad to think of them as the latter as I seriously doubt they are the former.

I think you are correct to think it isn`t the former. Disappointing if people think they are the latter if this was their first convention appearance, which for all we know might have been a fun experience for them as well as earning a few quid for good measure .

Yeah I'm sure it would be fun for them and who am I to tell them how and when to make money but there's something I don't quite dig about this.

Those guys could do this for free, for the fans if they wanted. It was expensive. Although no body was forced to pay, obviously.

Just seemed like a very unnecessary cash grab to me, verging on an abuse of position and privilege but then I'll never understand the mindset of payin money for a photo and an autograph.

No more of a cash grab than a slapping eddie on a beer etc

There is a demand and they are meeting that. Fair play. Go forth. It's not my jam but I won't poo poo too much

Somehow to me charging $200 or whatever it was for a photo feels quite different than slapping Eddie on a beer. At least Trooper tastes good. Maybe I'd feel different if I got to lick the band members, do a taste comparison.

But yah, each to their own, have at it, let them do as they wish and I shall judge from afar.
