@Perun, I'm really sure there has to be (at least) one track of POM in it, and one track of Killers sounds logical as well, looking at the bottom of the poster.

I saw that alright, what i meant was i hope it's material from the 80's albums that hasn't been played live since touring for the album they were released on (like infinite dreams for example, don't think that's been played since the SSOASS tour) or at all (like good chunks of POM, SIT, SSOASS etc). Songs from NOTB like Run to the Hills, NOTB, Hallowed, Trooper from POM, Wrathchild from Killers etc. they're played on every tour.
 
I agree, but really, Maiden are very conservative and (almost) always play the songs you just mentioned.

I wish they won't play anything from NOTB apart from HBTN.

Further I'm  hoping for Flight Of Icarus, though I bet it will be The Trooper instead.
I am not hoping for Revelations which was played a couple times in the 21st century already, and I like it less than other POM tracks. Still, it's quite connected to the LAD-era, so I still think it might be in the set.
Running Free sounds like a serious candidate. It always was a great festival oldie, and it cannot be missed imo! 

I have some hope that Maiden will select TWO epic tracks from two different albums which they haven't played for aeons, or even not at all. One of them should be Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, the other one.....(?)
It should be cool for the three amigoes to explore these tracks!

More than likely, as some of the tracks were played this year.  They'll never stop playing 'Hallowed', I think, nor 'Iron Maiden'...we may get 'Run To The Hills' as well, but that's less likely.  I'd say the other two are dead-certs, using the 'Live After Death'-loophole.

I think I'll join you in your cynicism, although Flight of Icarus wasn't played on The Early Days, so I would hope it would get a look-in.  Of course, if I were to get any Piece of Mind tracks played, Still Life would get a rendition, but I'm just awkward. :P

Yeah, Bruce said that they were going to play Alexander The Great on the next tour, in Greece.

And there's no Rock in Rio next year, just in Lisbon and Madrid.

I wonder what UK dates they'll do. They did Download last year and Reading the year before that, so I can't see them doing either again so soon.

Maybe their own one day festival? Ed-fest? I'd love to see them at Milton Keynes bowl with about 4 or 5 support acts. Kind of like Monsters of rock from previous years. I'll put money on a Clive aid gig at Brixton/Hammersmith too.

Wingman, your setlist is just perfect, except that you completely neglected Somewhere In Time. I would say that putting there Can I Play With Madness and Evil That Man Do is a bad idea but as part of the album they sound great, though I think that 4 songs from Seventh son is gonna be perfect already if that includes the tittle track. They could do in the future a tour just for the seventh son to be played as a whole.

it would be nice if that was the case alright and they gave the other albums more of a look in on this tour. Although Children Of The Damned would be nice from NOTB if they do pick songs from that LP.

Anything bar the trooper from Piece Of Mind would be welcome as far as i'm concerned, especially Flight Of Icarus. For a song that did very well as a single, they didn't play it live very often, hopefully it will surface this time around.

They could do in the future a tour just for the seventh son to be played as a whole.

Think that window may be closed now, especially as they played the whole of AMOLAD on the last tour. It would be welcome if they did it as SSOASS is my favourite album but i don't think it will happen. They should have done it when the album came out like Queensryche did when they toured Operation Mindcrime.

Still with all the possibilites of material that could make up the setlist for the next tour, it's an exciting time ahead til the 1st gig of the tour to see what will be aired.

Well, I would like to have more SIT tracks there, but as the rumours are they will also play songs from the first four albums, I had to choose. Some snacks from Somewhere in Time (which would, if I could choose, be The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and either Caught ... or Stranger ...), or the entire Seventh Son. I surely think some rarely played songs from SIT would be nice and I like several of these songs more than CIPWM, but as this was a fantasy setlist I thought that putting in the entire SSOASS would be great.

If Steve Harris had called me today and said "OK, we will play four and only four songs from SSOASS when we play in Norway next year. Which songs do you want to hear?" I would have answered Moonchild, Infinite Dreams, Seventh Son ... and Only the good die young. The pity is that I also like CIPWM and love the three remaining songs.

But hey, how are we supposed to be able to choose a setlist of 15 +/- 3 songs from these albums? It is bound to create a headache.

            Maybe they could do it like just a special concert for theaters only, as the musicals that are played over and over again they could do at least about a month of presentations with the outfit of seventh son tour and the production of the tour, playing only the album and nothing more, I don´t see a bad thing in that, it doesn´t go against the "rules" of integrity of a band. But this just was just an idea on the playing it entirely, I´m more worried about the current tour, wich is gonna be unbelievable and after that they won´t have to continue doing nostalgic tours anymore, if they choose their best old songs intead of the same overplayed ones to go with the new songs it´s gonna be enough.
 
Whatever the critics will say:

This will be a unique experience. 2008 will be the first time in 20 years and very probably the last time the world can witness Maiden's material of the golden 1984-1988 period.

Love it or hate it: better not miss it!

Indeed. For the first time I seriously think about seeing Maiden more than once during one and the same tour.
