Next year's tour speculation thread

Sorry... I just couldn't resist! And I think it's also time we grow out of the old thread.

Anyway - today's hot topic is: THE SETLIST! And the highlights:

How are they going to open the show? With Satellite 15? Or with the latest trend, Mars the Bringer of War?
Will The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg be replaced with Brighter Than a Thousand Suns?
Will they play Paschen-Fucking-Dale?

And most importantly - Will they play the entire album? Mother of mercy!

WAGE WAR!

1) Satellite 15... TFF
2) El Dorado
3) The Trooper
4) 2 Minutes to Midnight
5) When the Wild Wind Blows
6) The Alchemist
7) No. of the Beast
8) The Clansman
9) Brave New World
10) The Talisman
11) Fear of the Dark
12) Iron Maiden
13) Coming Home
14) Hallowed Be Thy Name
15) Prowler (I hope :P)

From the new album I think it will be...

Sat 15, The Final Frontier (Open with this obviously)

El Dorado (Played it already so no need to learn)

Mother of Mercy (This is the song I want to here the most from the new album, its just one of those song that gets your whole body going. I can already picture a mosh pit and crowds of people head banging to this )

Coming Home (This ones just obvious)

And if we're lucky they'll close with When the Wild Wind Blows (ending the main part of the show with it is more likely, and then coming back with 3 classics for the encore)

If they play Prowler I will weep with joy, even if I'm in the pit.
I think they'll play at least five songs from the new album, then even though it will make me sad, they'll probably have to bring back overplayed songs like RTTH, The Trooper, and 2 Mins. to Midnight, after ignoring them for the most part last tour.  For the encore, I think they'll do something similar to the Dance of Death tour, opening with the last song off the new album (WTWWB), then throwing in two classics.  I'm predicting either Hallowed and RTTH, or Midnight and RTTH.

I think Nicko Said in one of the interview they will try and play 5-6 songs from TFF in the next tour.

Setlst:

1) Satellite 15... TFF (But I would prefer if Maiden did open with Mars the Bringer of War and then The WickerMan)
2) El Dorado
3) Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
4) The Trooper
5) Brave New World
6) Mother of Mercy
7) The Talisman or Starblind
8) When The Wild Wind Blows
9) Blood Brothers
10) Fear of the Dark
11) Coming Home
12) Run to the Hills
13) Iron Maiden
14) Evil That Men Do
15) Hallowed Be Thy Name

I bet all of TFF will NOT be played.

The set list will remain largely the same as the one they had this summer - 5 "2000 era songs" + 5 TFF songs.

Paschendale and 1000 Suns will NOT be played

Hmm, this is a new tour, I think they will come again in every location which they all ready been on this tour, no?

Setlist?
It's hard to say, probably:
Intro:Satellite 15
TFF
El dorado
Mother of Mercy
Coming Home
+1 or 2 songs
-----------------------
other songs from "2000 era"

The songs I predict will be played from TFF will be:

Satelite 15... The Final Frontier
El Dorado
Mother of Mercy
Coming Home
The Talisman
When the Wild Wind Blows

If they don't play Starblind...i'll be really pissed.

GuineaPig's prediction looks good, i'd just make a "correction";

Satelite 15... The Final Frontier
El Dorado
Coming Home
The Talisman
When the Wild Wind Blows

They'll play one more from TFF, and depending on the rest of setlist (the length of other songs played) we'll have either Mother Of Mercy / Alchemist or Isle Of Avalon / Starblind.

It's going to happen mate, Coming home will appeal a lot more to the general maiden fan then Starblind would.
I doubt it. I don't think that the general Maiden fan prefers a power ballad to a classic Maiden song.

Satellite 15..The Final Frontier
El Dorado
Wratchchild
2 Minutes to Midnight
Coming Home
Isle of Avalon
Brave New World
The Evil That Men Do
The Trooper
The Talisman
Fear of the Dark
When the Wild Wind Blows
Encore:
Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Run to the Hills

One of the most epic setlists ever would be 6 from TFF (doesn't really matter which), plus some "rare" classics as well as 2 or 3 staples.

Starbling is very complex, I doubt that it may be replicated live with the same brilliancy as it was played on the studio, the arrangements are too intricate. There's a LOT going on beneath the verses and in a 7/8 measure sometimes.

I think we all know they'll be closing the regular set with Iron Maiden.

Exactly what I was going to say, an example of this is how the boys couldn't play Pashen-fucking-dale to there likings live. Coming home would be a lot easier to reproduce live and I really want to hear Bruce sing this one live.

Edit: My mistake, by general I meant someone who will buy this album and listen to it causally (Unlike all of us here :P). I fan like this that is attending a concert would probably like songs such as Coming home, The Alchemist, The Talisman, Final Frontier and El Dorado apposed to the more complex ones on the album.
