New posters! Who are you?

Hi Stevil, Great to have someone else from my neck of the woods around. Can I ask first, though, north or south of the Tyne? :D

Hi everybody, my real name is Paul, and I am an Iron Maiden fan from France interested in discussing with foreign fans of course!
I am 26, and discovered hard-rock with VAN HALEN when I was a child, but I definitely came to heavy metal with IRON MAIDEN (brave new world album). Then I have been listening all their album for years, with Metallica, Megadeth and other metal classics. I began guitar at 14, and played it in my band called HEAVYLUTION. I decided to sing to, and I finally stopped guitar to concentrate myself on singing only. As I really like Dickinson's singing you might hear some influence, but of course not the same talent.

For those who want to discover my music : http://www.reverbnation.com/heavylution

I made a vocal cover of Infinite Dreams that you'll find here.

I Hope you'll enjoy, see you soon on the forum!

Paul

Welcome Heavylution! And a good job on Infinite Dreams! Too bad Maiden won't do it anymore. I am afraid it's too much for Brucey these days.
The vibration in your voice reminds me a lot of Edguy's Tobias Sammet (who was inspired by Dickinson).

There's a topic where people show their music projects/efforts so be welcome to post more:
http://forum.maidenfans.com/threads/the-post-your-own-music-thread.20827/

But artists can also open an own topic on http://forum.maidenfans.com/forums/musicians-discussion.59/

, depending on what you prefer.

Hey Paul! Welcome.

Yes, Tobias! Thanks, Foro, I was wondering who that voice reminded me of. :ok:

Thank you guys! That's nice to read that :) I also likeTobias Sammet and he makes part of my influences. I'll tell more about my band in the topics you suggested!

Hey Metal heads !!
New here to these forum thingy's - so be kind to a fellow Metal head !! (just until I get the hang of this) !! Ermmm, UP THE IRONS !! yeah !! :)

I came here to sell 2 Maiden tix for the Battle of San Bernardino because my friends are wimps who won't be joining us. Work > Maiden?? No way. But I will be around to chat about Maiden stuff, including a review of the concert (probably sometime next week when I recover). I have been an Iron Maiden fan since I saw the cover of Powerslave in a record store in 1983. I had to get that record and listen whatever music was on this amazing album. About 3 minutes later, I was a 13 year old metal junkie and no much has changed 30 years later. I am so stoked about the Maiden England tour because I saw the original Seventh Son tour when I was in college and now have a chance to hear those songs again.
