I edited my initial post to match the new title, too.
Cool. So yesterday Cult of Luna published their new track from the upcoming Mariner album.
I really like this band and dig the track. Female vocals are a nice addition. It brings some freshness to their formula, but it would still be great without it. They simply know how to compose music. Can't wait for the album to come out (April 8).
Oh, yes. I gave it a listen the other day. Weirdly, I hadn't heard any of their records before... I liked this one. A bit monotonous, but overall quite enjoyable. I especially liked the track you posted. Damn, I love this opening static riff. Production on the album is great, guitars sound massive. The new Rotting Christ album also just released today!

I liked that bit of new cheese quite a bit, actually. A little leathery, though.
Never really gave Primal Fear a chance. Is this new album worth checking out?
Hmm. Not too keen on that one. Although I do like this guy's voice better than Ripper.
For a moment, I thought you were talking to me, as Veritas is my handle literally everywhere else on the internet. Only Maidenfans knows me as LC.Veritas - for something lighter and more atmospheric if you're interested.
I hope at least some of you will give the full album a listen. I think it's going to end up as my album of the year (top 3 for sure).
For all of the Melodic/Amon Amarth/Viking Death Metal fans....Check out this band.
Released this January!
Sorry, not ignoring your new post, but I forgot to reply to this earlier. That sounds exactly like Amon Amarth to me.
