Most overrated Maiden album?

Yes, but this is exactly the definition of being subjectively. As you say: it is peoples OPINION. That does not make it objective at all. Objectively would be a statement like "on FOTD they changed more into an AC/DC direction and used more repetition than on previous albums", or "the guitar sound has less mids and treble than on SIT", because those are measurable facts. As soon as you add "and that's good / bad" or a rating, it is not objective anymore, but simply a personal taste.

Proof how subjective it is: I think Weekend Warrior is a great track, and even without he title track, FOTD would still be a good album. It is just a matter of opinion.

Since I consider Doom Metal the greatest of all Metal subgenres, "dark and monotonous" can be a very good thing.
For me fear of the dark is a good album but its true that the sound is 100% 90s. Like the black album and many others

If you haven't check out the acoustic cover, it sounds great (though the video is kinda cheesy). It's tuned down a full step to D and Blaze sounds great on it:

yeah, I've seen that. Although it's a song I don't particularly like, I somehow like this cover.

I would say number of the beast but its powerslave. The duellist, flash of the blade and losfer words and back in the village are fillers and i dont see the "magic" . Number of the beast has gangland and invaders as a bad fillers too. Seventh son for me the only weak song and its not is the prophecy but feels like its like an intro of the next song in the album

The Number of the Beast and Powerslave are very similar imo. Let me explain, it's tottaly subjective. Each of them has 3 great songs(Hallowed, 22 Acacia, Children of the Damned and Aces High, Powerslave, ROTAM). Also, each of them has 2 songs I never listen to nowadays (Invaders, Gangland and Losfer Words, Back in the Village). The reason I think TNOTB is more overrated is that it has 2 boring classics (title track and RTTH) instead of 1 (2 mins).

And if I did a "Which is the best 6th song on a Maiden album" poll, Back In The Village would slay any other 6th song on any other Maiden album. Mark my words.
Still Life, Stranger in a Strange Land, Dream of Mirrors, Out of the Shadows and probably The Book of Souls and The Time Machine are better imo. Especially the first 3 are some of my favs. Maybe Run to the Hills is better, even though I can live without listening to it ever again.

Okay, it's a tough one, agreed. However, Dream Of Mirrors IMHO is one of the most overrated Maiden songs ever. Totally repeatative, and boring over long parts. I always skip that one.
Somewhat of the most overrated song of the most overrated album. I never got into BNW. (The title track is appealing when played live, this I have to admit, but the studio album version sounds so sterile and lifeless...)

I'll agree with all of these with the possible exception of Out of the Shadows.
And I'll throw in The Educated Fool, Gates of Tomorrow and Isle of Avalon.

The instrumental section in The Duellists is pure Maiden greatness! Actually there isn't any filler on the mighty Powerslave!
Fillerslave is literally a filler sandwich, it’s just that the filler is better than most other Maiden filler. But the extra thick slices of bread are so incredibly delectable that the filling could be nothing more than a slight disappointment.
