It used to be Fear, because it was shoehorned into every set since 2005. But live now it's Aces Low, which should've been retired after the great performances on LOTB 1.

In studio, Iron Maiden.

So, it depends. If we go for live setting, Aces. If we go for studio version, Iron Maiden.

TNOTB because it's pretty much as melodiless as Iron Maiden and about as overplayed, but is also much more overrated by the casuals. There are about three Maiden songs that frustrate me with their complete lack of usual Maiden melodic sensibility, these two and Wildest Dreams and those are about the only Maiden songs I actively dislike.

There's no point in voting for Iron Maiden, it's never not going to be played.

You could argue the same for The Trooper as well.

I'd say Aces High but only as an encore, I still think it works as an opener even though I don't think Bruce has ever done an amazing job on it.

I'll go outside the box here likely and suggest Wasted Years. The studio version of this is miles better than the live one. They never seem to get the timing, groove or feeling quite right and I've never loved it. Having it close a show now for another tour is a negative as well.

Ok, Hallowed and Wasted are two of my favourite songs, Fear is always great live. So, these 3 I'm not bored of. I can't stand Aces live, but the album version is still perfect. I rarely listen to the album versions of Trooper and IM, but I always like them live. So it's between Hills, Number and 2 mins for me. The first 2, I find incredibly boring, but I don't hate them as much as I hate 2 mins. It must be my least fav Bruce era Maiden song. I prefer dinosaurs and to that. Oh shit Weekend Warrior exists.

For me it’s Fear of the Dark from this list.
And I increasingly find myself skipping Run to the Hills and The Trooper, very good songs but repetition fatigue has set in.

Somehow I never get bored of Fear of the Dark. I think it's one of their greatest songs and works extremely well on stage. It should be on every setlist. Regarding the least favorite, I voted for Aces High but I am sick and tired of all the rest as well, especially 2M2M.

It depends alot if you compare the album versions with live experiences.
I´d say Iron Maiden but only for the album version. In a live setting that song is somehow special.

Fear and Hallowed, went for the former although it's a fun, dumb singalong and has got a nice key change/solo in the middle.

I love how the poll and the thread title are opposites lol

Including the self titled song is kinda cheating. I never had the feeling that it is a particularly popular song. It's the only song that never misses a setlist and the one with the big Eddie reveal, but musically? Are there really people who are like "oh boy, here comes one of my favorites!" when Iron Maiden starts?

So, most boring is that one. Least boring? Fear Of The Dark. No matter how many times I've heard it, the intro in live versions is always magical.

I'm still somewhat surprised how quickly Wasted Years became relatively "unwanted" classic, given how it's been played rather sparingly when compared to The Number of the Beast, The Trooper & Fear of the Dark. Personally, I find it perhaps the most pleasant one of the selection above and after Run to the Hills being a popular closer between 1999-2004, Hallowed be Thy Name & Running Free each closing for almost two full tours in a row in 2006-2008 & 2010-2013, not to even mention the encore representation Sanctuary has got over the decades, I find it rather odd how Wasted Years as a closer for two tours in a row is suddenly such a big deal and, somehow, particularly lazy move. :D

I mean, yeah, I would've welcomed Infinite Dreams, Stranger in a Strange Land or something of that nature instead, or just an earlier setlist position for it in order to make it sound a bit more energetic, but of all the "issuess" I might have with the Run For Your Lives Tour, the inclusion of Wasted Years definitely isn't one of them!

Just my opinion, of course; I totally get that people have very different preferences with these!

100%. I won't have an issue with Wasted Years even if they play it on every upcoming tour until they retire.

Run To The Hills. No question. I disliked that song from the very first time I ever heard it. One of the worst Maiden tracks of the 80s.
Being played at every heavy Metal party, after every second metal show at the bar and almost every Maiden gig did not help.
Also never was a big fan of 2 Minutes either, but it's still better than Run and not that overplayed. But they sure could ditch it from sets forever and nothing would be missing.

The Trooper and Fear are played to death, but for some reason they just don't get old to me. I can still listen to them and enjoy it.
If I went to another Maiden gig and they didn't play Fear or Trooper I wouldn't cry, but hearing them again would still be cool.
