Metallica

This is some funny stuff, love when this gets out after so many years, who would have known? Metallica just posted this: James recording vocals for the Mercyful Fate medley for Garage Inc album in 1999.. :)

Metallica kicked off a full week on Craig Ferguson last night. I'm not sure what they're promoting, but damn...

...they sound amazing! James' voice, Lars not playing like a 7th grader, Kirk actually hitting the right notes, and Trujillo existing...best I've heard them sound in awhile.

No fucking way! I've been a keen follower of Craig Ferguson for at least five years. By far my favorite late night host. Great stuff.

That did sound good. Nice, wondering if there will be an announcement of something at the end of the week

Lars is still messy (and hasty!) to be honest. Plays faster than the rest. His bass drums are a mess (and inaudible; you hardly hear them, but when I hear them it's one big uncoordinated cocktail).

I watched the full show. They're plugging the blu-ray release of Some Kind of Monster documentary. So nothing to get excited about, really.

Unless they're planning a surprise or something.

They have this coming out Nov 29th (in the US)

Since it's inception we have always been very proud to be a regular part of Record Store Day, including kicking off the very first one with an autograph signing at the Bay Area's own Rasputin Music in April of 2008. So we're psyched to confirm that on November 29 (yes, that's Black Friday!) your favorite North American independent music retailer and the Metallica.com Store will have the Through The Never soundtrack available in all its vinyl glory as a limited edition deluxe four LP set, 45 RPM on 180 gram vinyl. Only 4,000 of the special box sets will be made and they will all be numbered.

While the deluxe package will feature the traditional black vinyl, we have a twist for those of you who prefer the 33 1/3 version...that three disc set will come with one disc each in red, white and black. Look for the colored vinyl version on the same day, November 29th, in stores and of course on Metallica.com. Our international friends will be able to buy the colored vinyl version at their local record store on December 16th.
