Maidenfans Fantasy Football League

Actually Man U didn't play and I was too distracted by the Kevin Keegan stories to post yesterday. I blame my poor performance this week on both those things.  :S

PS. LooseCannon is clearly cheating.
 
I'm still unclear on the rules: if I make a transfer (out of the squad, not a substitution out of the team) am I deducted points? Apologies if I seem dense. The only fantasy football games I've done in the past, I pick an XI and transfer in and out without penalty (albeit with a limit).
PS I'm determined to win. ;)

Also, I got the email reminding me to pick a team after the games on Saturday. :huh:
 
Transfers
I think it's like this (from my perspective):

I choose a player to get rid of and I choose which player I'd like to get instead. If I do more than 1 transfer then it will cost 4 points (deducted from my total score) per transfer.

So if I do not more than one transfer per week it won't.

What's more important is the following (earlier explained by RW): The person you get rid of is worth x.x million pounds. So with that money you can buy a new player which should have equal or less value.

Recently I just did my first transfer (the dude I got rid of didn't play a single minute and wasn't injured either). The new player I got is a bit less worth than the one I got rid of, but he played and scored some points.
So now I have a tiny bit of money on my bank. This can come in handy for a next transfer.

Wildcard (LC talked about it):
During the whole season you can choose one particular week in which you can change as many players as you like without losing points. But be careful, this can only be done once.

The watch-list is also handy. I have some other played in mind to purchase, but first I'd like to wait and see how they'll progress. I added them to my watch-list and everytime I go to the Transfer menu, I can select them and see how they're doing.
 
Yeah, that's the disadvantage of waiting to get good players. :)
They suddenly can be more expensive!

Nice to see the rightful balance being restored with me now up to 6th after a superb hat trick from team captain Adebayor. Finally I'm above the team from North America who don't know their Arsenal from their Eboué. Also the mackems are bottom. Get in.
New leaders are Pete Deeley's BeerMonsters, up from third to first after a superb haul of 83 points this week!
