Maiden Tour 2014 (SPOILER TAGS REQUIRED WITHIN)

Yes, the timing is great. Same thing in France : I learned that Slayer were playing after Maiden on another stage, while I originaly thought that they were playing at the same time

Has anyone been to Knebworth before? What's it like for parking if I was driving? I'm looking at Google Maps & I'm thinking if the festival's own parking is super busy or expensive or whatever --is there anything stopping you dumping your car in Knebworth town? There's a station there too, less than 2 miles (on the map) from Knebworth House. I'm assuming the festival area is pretty close to this?

Stevenage is the nearest town and mainline station, I think Knebworth itself is a small village
A wee village you say? Shouldn't be much in the way of parking restrictions then, you'd hope...

Actually, I just read the festival parking price: £20. Not too bad. That's about £105 all-in with parking for the Saturday. Add that again for the 700 mile journey (there & back), and we're talking about £200. Something to ponder...

I think flying's the better option, too. I reckon any empty streets will already be packed with cars from Thursday onwards, and there's a chance police are keeping an eye out to stop everyone doing the same thing as you just thought. ;)

There's no stopping me sniffing out a street with no parking restrictions, Brigs! :D
...but point taken. I shall explore the flying option.

A lot of people will have sniffed out streets with no parking restrictions as well Cried so it will be pretty competitive for space and with all the extra cars around I guess some criminals will be sniffing around. Fly to Luton, get to Stevenage however, shuttle bus to Knebworth then mess around in Stevenage all night if you can't get back to the airport.

I have a ten year old Ford Fiesta; they're welcome to it! :D
But, yeh, flights look cheaper anyway. Easyjet look like they have flights for about £65 return. Hmmm...

Definitely in Kiev, but I was thinking of Glasgow actually. It might be awkward when Bruce whips the flag out: "Wow, remember that flag?"

It would interesting to speculate what might happen to the Union Jack (what with the Saltire being part of the Union flag), now that you bring it up...
