If you haven't seen Primeval then you are missing a good show. It's not as cerebral as Doctor Who (although it has it's moments), it's a good fun show. What the premise is about is that we have what are called anomalies popping up here and there which are gateways into another time - past or future. So we could have a velociraptor come through it one day and then a creature that is how humans could evolve in several million years time. And the focus is on a Government funded team that is to study these anomalies - and occasionally go through them.

And yes, Red Dwarf is back. I am looking forward to that one.

Sounds cool-- I was happy to hear that Red Dwarf was coming back.

De-christianization of America, story at 10.

There is no school, however, we are still selling filters, tires and bikes.  I found that the banks and courthouses are still open, also.  Post Office is closed, however.

By definition, a Christian holiday made into a statutory holiday then becomes secular.  I call it Good Friday because I get paid extra to work it.

I'd also argue about the term "de-christianization"...considering the US is not now nor has ever been a Christian nation.

That was kind of a joke to myself, since so many of the 'christian right' seem to think it is a christian nation.  And, I read a headline on MSN about 'the de-christianization' of the nation.. tho didn't read it.

Oh, and I don't get paid any extra for today!!!  Damn, I need a shot of holy water.

Hahaha, shitty bud.

Yeah, Newsweek had an interesting article about it too.  But it refers more to the fact that fully 15% of Americans now identify as "religious-less" "humanist" "deist" or "atheist".

That may be what the article was aiming for.  Less people identify themselves with religion.  Which I can see.

And, yeah, it does suck.. but I've never been paid for easter...

Yeah, mostly.  Easter has always been weird, if you ask me.  (or Good Friday, I guess)-- many try to pass it off as 'spring break', to keep church seperate from state...

Meh.  It's a day, and you can choose days for any good reason...or no good reason, like Ontario's Civic Holiday.
