Here I post again on my own
Postin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a spamer I was born to post alone
I've made up my mind
I'm only gonna post one more time....

....or maybe not...

Damned early days! Freakin' Thursday too!
I was going to say what time the early start was, but with you being a Marine, I doubt you would have considered it an early start. :D

Well, I am used to it Albie but early still sucks!  :)

At the job I'm in now, we used to have a shift rota and an early start was to be in work by 06:00! That stopped many years ago and an early start now is not as early as that.

I came in for the early shift today; start time for that is 0600. The positive thing about that is that traffic getting into Washington at that time only sucks, not sucks total shit.

Which is a major difference!!!

My traffic is awesome... I can drive for miles and only see one or two cars, maybe a school bus.  The wonders of rural midwest!!

Dude, when I leave out of the DC area, I am NEVER coming back. Except for Redskins games, I'll come back for some of those.

Luckily, when I was out there, we drove to our friends house, and used public trans for most everything else.

I've oft heard that DC has the worst traffic problems of any American city.

You have heard correctly. Some people may try to say that Los Angeles or NYC is worse but they aren't. Atlanta is the only other city I can think of that comes close.

Move to Illinois!  you can drive around the country side with me.  My last boss used to drive around shooting coyotes from the drivers seat of his truck.

I'd love to, start a petition to get a USMC base created there.  :)

We do (or did?)  have an Airforce Base in the Illinois side of St Louis.  Scott AFB, if I recall.  I know there was talk of shutting that down, but I honestly don't know if that happened.  The base was a huge source of income for the local businesses when I  lived down there.
