We've been under a 'winter advisory' all day.  It has been expected that we would have a terrible ice storm.  Originally, it was going to be this morning, then it got pushed back to 1pm; area schools all let out early in anticipation of the ice.  Around noon, the ice was pushed back to 4pm.  Still, nothing fell from the sky.  As I was driving home, around 630 (central time), drops started to hit my windshield, as ice built up on my wiper blades... as I drove, the words that kept rolling through my mind were "then down in falls comes the .... RAIN!!!"
 
All week all the stations were  saying we were going to get hit with 40cm in a two day period.....but today the first day we are going to get 5-10cm and then on sat we are going to get barley anything way to get my fucking hopes up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
We got ours... there is an inch of ice on the road.  At 3am, my power cut out.... luckily, I have a fireplace, so I was nice and toasty. 
 
My holidays are only starting on Monday (as in, I've got university on Saturday and Sunday, can you believe it?!). Everybody else has already been partying all week. :(

now watching:  bouncing back and forth between Futurama and Monday Night Football (the game is gonna have little to no offense, but if Matt Forte stays under 50 fantasy points [which seems likely] then I am going to win round 1 of the fantasy football league, and I'll be in the championship game).

now drinking: a bottle of Pinot Noir that was bottled in CA.

now making:  my kids put away their folded clothes

now reading:  Belgarath the Sorcerer... but I'm not finished, so I'll have to wait to post in the Now Reading thread....

In fact, I'd suggest being careful about posting here too much. Someone in IT might decide it's a waste of time and block you out. We don't want that to happen. Perhaps you ought to cut down on posting, for example by stopping posting in the album elimination thread.

Hahahaha, haven't been on in over a week.... more about that later. Haven't even checked album elimination yet; why do I get the feeling that when I do, all I'll see is BNW?

For now.... ahhhhh Roma, I have a mission to try and accomplish and some vino to drink. Do please keep an eye on the drunk posting thread tonight, I feel a good one coming on.  :D
 
Yes, at last. I'll be back on later but now I have to figure out how to get to the coluseum and onward from there.... and I need a drink, STAT!

there is a metro station  -nothing difficult to be found as all roads lead to Rome   :D

as far as of the wine, once you're are on the spot, you'll find a nice restaurant on the other side of the road, that has very good Italian wine -ask the boy behind the bar to intoduce you a descent glass

when you are enough boozed -you can go DRUNK POSTING in an internet cafe on the other side of the road......   ;)
